Why are enemies such bullet sponges, even on low difficulties?
In the co-op operations, as a lvl 5 tactician with a green bolt rifle, which is the strongest bolt weapon I have at this point in the game; I struggle with killing Chaos Space Marines and Tyranid Warriors on Average difficulty. Why do I have to legitimately empty a full magazine into something, and pray that I incap it, when the game just will outright spawn like 8 of the things at once.

Chaos maps are significantly more difficult than tyranids, purely because the Chaos Marines just constantly spawn on top of you, usually in groups. I do not have the sheer ammo the game clearly expects you to use shooting them, especially when massive waves show up and you're fighting 10 or so marines at once with a non-stop horde.

How are people even playing on the higher difficulties? A single marine probably takes three magazines to kill, and probably shows up in groups of twenty at a time.

Higher dif means that enemies are bulletsponges and deal more damage to you, sadly the worst way possible

The weapons are extremely unbalanced in PVE and it shows the higher in difficulty you go. Especially most of the bolt rifles are absolute ass.
You can dump 30+ rounds into the head of an elite from a heavy bolt rifle and the thing will still come at you.
While only the melta and plasma weapons seem to be reliable because you can actually take out elites with a couple of shots with those.

They're not it's somewhere between 1 and 2 shots. I seriously don't know how that counts as a "bullet sponge". Even as a level 1 one headshot kills most enemies bigger enemies require 1 Sniper shot in the head. I think even the "marjoris" are one head shot as a sniper.

If your max level their like 1/3 of a shot if you could divide your damage one shot would kill 3 people if not more. I mean technically one shot of a multi-melta could kill probably 50 if you could get them all close enough.

Those are fun man....
Seems the Meltagun is the way to go.

Just walk up and beat em up. I don't know if people know but you can parry multiple enemies at the same time. So even with multiple of them you can parry all of them.

Are you insane ? Have you tried any of the bolters ? Please tell me how you kill an elite with 1-2 shots to the head. I know my relic weapons cant do that.

this again, i play heavy bolt rifle, and i swear, my hit rate is 90%, yet i usually has low dmg done. melta users have highest dmg done. melta cant be blocked, while bolter can, bolter is one target, melta is aoe. so bolter is really cool gun, but need more power. it is HE ammo, not 9mm. there is perk in tactical tree to deal 25% dmg to blocking enemies, but it is still not enough to compete with melta.
