The grind and ammo...
It's going to take you like 5000 hours to unlock everything. Not a fan. I play for fun and because I want to look good doing it, but yeah, it's a bit repetitive tbh... and there is never enough ammo, also not a fan. Also, why tf doesn’t the stuff you unlock in operations multiplayer carry over to PvP multiplayer? That's stupid and adds hundreds of hours more of grinding, so yeah its good and terrible at the same time i am not a fan of grinding for the amount of hours its going to take its ridiculous...

How long does it take to max out a class this way? With ai probably less than 6 hours. (stage 2 with good rng)

It's there as an option, and ammo is not a problem because you don't really kill stuff.

what is this magic you speak of...

EDIT: Do note the 6 hours is only for the initial class. IF you aren't ocd or something and use the weapons that are shared between classes, you cut down on the grind way faster by skipping the first two difficulties. And while I did comment on the video that AI is not the way, I didn't know at the time that the operations are RNG. If you get 3 bombs on 3 different floors you are super screwed (which I got my first time through) but usually it's 2 bombs on the same floor which cuts down on that section significantly.

Time slowing with age is a thing.

Also having better things to do then grind another job but not get paid to "work" is also a "thing".

As far as the cosmetics go, to unlock everything for a particular class is 37 pvp and/or pve missions. They share progress and unlocks (Im not sure you think it doesn't, but the unlock DOES carry over.) So 37 missions per each of the 6 classes is 222 missions total to unlock all the cosmetic armors. Each PVE mission takes between 45-60 minutes depending on difficulty, we will go with the lowest option just to be reasonable. PvP missions are much quicker and can vary in time greatly depending on how bad you are winning/losing (But only the wins count for progress). So 222 missions at 45 minutes each (assuming we dont fail any and lose more time) is 9,990 minutes. That's 166.5 hours of play time to unlock every cosmetic for all the classes. a far cry from your 5000 hour complaint. Even on the liberal end you'd have to be very bad at the game to take longer than 300 hours.

Just because they are actually making you work for the rewards instead of just giving them all out to anyone who wants to pay for it doesn't make this a valid criticism.

I got to the point of i do not care to unlock everything as i'm comforted with the fact if i can come back to the game in a few years and still unlock it. I hate fomo.

166.5 hours is still a lot of time.....

its actually over 9000 hours if you factor in all the paints and customization sets and banners

The ammo problem goes away when you start to aim better and when you perk up your marine and weapons. Its all about the damage and how efficiently you apply it. I do think the experience would be so much better without all the ammo micromanagement, especially in pugs where that level 1 bulwark is picking all the ammo when you're doing all the carrying.

That's probably the way to do it. My PC can't even run it, so until the hardware I want to build with becomes available, I'm ridin' the pine & serfing for git-gud tips.

Okay, I may have gotten some things wrong. If it carries over to PvP, then that's not too bad, but yeah, 166 hours is a lot when you, you know, have a job and a family and all that =D

The Armoury Data not being consistently gained is annoying. I'm running higher difficulties and not a damn Servo Skull in sight. No Miniboss showing up. Even though I get increased rewards for the higher difficulty, feels pretty bad to run through the pain to just not get what you came for lol.

i feel your pain no data and i die a little inside every time...
