Please, I need help getting past Antenna Mission. Stuck for too long.

Hey all, I keep trying to get past the 'Defend the Antenna' mission. I have tried time and again, but my NPC "brothers" are useless, and I am an old guy without the reflexes of you younger folk, and I keep either dying, or the antenna keep getting destroyed.

Oh, and yes, I have tried throwing frag grenades at the Gargoyles, but I keep getting swarmed as I try to kill the remaining Gargoyles on the antenna. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

walk on the sides and youll find a heavy bolter and a melter if i remind correctly. these help out big time. and set the difficulty down as low as possible if you didnt already.

Get a friend to buy the game and play it together or find someone here who would play with you.

You need to make sure you shoot down any mobs that are ranged first as they will snipe the crap out of you and kill you quickly.

Try using the bolter with the attached grenade launcher, it really helps with clearing off the antenna fast

Use trhe grenade launcher bolter, with 2 or 3 grenades you will easily clear the gargoyls on the cables.

Where do you find this weapon, I must have missed it?

Use grenade launcher bolter and run around the center constantly only dealing with enemies that attack you directly in front of you. Did it third try on veteran.
Also ai teammates are not useless if they are close to the objetcive

I guess I out of luck, because I never saw it, and I'm on the Antenna Mission now, and can't go back. :(

I just got done with this mission on veteran with the melter. its not easy to kill the ranged enemies with it but it does clear the mobs off the antennas in 4 to 5 shots. if you are playing by your self just use all the melter up and switch to any other long range gun to kill all the lone rang enemies on this map. thankful, the antennas will be attacked always in the same way and same enemies spawns. some well placed frag grenades for the first ranged enemies that spawn after you kill the first antennas swarm will help. I feel you, the AI for the defend missions can feel bad when you are the only one that has to use a specialized weapon.

Use the grenade launcher bolt gun and clear the first 2 antennas pronto, watch out for the mines on the second one. After that concentrate on taking out the snipers and Zoanthropes before trying to clear the antenna.

It's a ♥♥♥♥ mission. not well ballanced for single play. made me quit after 5 attempts. ofcourse there are ways, but if you fly through the game on medium and this is all of a sudden close to impossible... nah...

beat it on veteran, around the tower in the center on its outside you find various things like heath and ammo as well as a couple guns like the grenade launcher and melta though i didnt use the extra weapons on my successful attempt so i cant really comment on them. for me the fastest way to clear the gargoyles was to sort of half circle the beacon while shooting at them, if you can clear most of them off it slows the damage i believe, then you can circle more and shoot the few remaining gargoyles. the biggest issue by far is the flying psychic blast guys, i managed to clear the third antenna before they really started seriously targeting me and after that i just shot them until they decided to die. you can somewhat ignore the rest of the mobs except for the bigger guys in particular the shooters they do a lot of damage if you ignore them.

other than that i didnt do anything special except give it three or four tries. i just got quicker at antenna clearing and knowing where the health and ammo was for the most part
