Like complain about token Asian and tokem Black guy in the squad from a Chapter that soley recruits from Iberian settled worlds who are quiet Romanisque in culture and would never break tradition easily. That makes lore sense, especially when you can go "why didn't they use Deathwatch or some mobile Chapter that doesn't recruit from a very specific region dominated by 1 cultural group !?!?".

To be fair, ones ethnicity doesn't always link to ones culture. There are 500 worlds the Ultramarines recruit from, I highly doubt they're all ethnically identical.

To be fair, ones ethnicity doesn't always link to ones culture. There are 500 worlds the Ultramarines recruit from, I highly doubt they're all ethnically identical.

All the original worlds of Ultramare where settled by Iberian colonists, ofc 10k years of migrations and such would change the composition and such a bit.

But the chances you would get this combination on the battlefield would be extremely slim, they would be minorities having to survive a process only a small minority survives etc etc.

Clearly it's done to pander to inclusion, don't make excuses and insult everyones intellegence. Especially since you could have gotten away with this easily without having to grasp such straws with Deathwatch or something.
