I actually just played it again prior to this game's release, and while it's true there are times where you want to take cover, there were phases during most encounters where, once you take out the ranged guys, it became all close quarters. Basically everything in this game has a ranged component, so it doesn't work nearly as well as in SM1.
Being continuously staggered is also a problem. As 'Bulwark' (sword brethren... sabre obv arent real warhammer fans) ill get through 80% of putting down my flag animation just to be staggered out of it. You can be infinitely chain staggered to death in difficulty II and above. Its truly intolerable.
