sorry, but the pvp experience is SO disgusting
This game is the perfect example of how classes ruin and unbalance the pvp experience. It's unbelievable that everyone only plays with the same two classes.

I'm really giving pvp a chance, but I think it would be better to remove classes from pvp and leave it only for pve...

It was never meant to be a pvp game, it was tacked on as an afterthought to give the game slightly longer shelf life. It's a pve hack and slash horde game. If you want pvp go play something designed around it.
no, SM1 had several PVP games modes, melee was "better" and there even was a king of the hill variant, that instead of being a flag and holding it, it was taking a random player from the capturing team to become a dreadnough and the other team hat to kill it as fast as possible to capture the next flag and try to spawn their dreadnough.


so i dont think PVP is an afterthoug if we compare to the first one, wish still had a community playing it until now and maybe even still now ( be it being ridled with russian hackers now eh)

pvp is legit fine only thing they should remove or tweak is the vanguard grapple stun as its a 80% free kill on you in most scenarios with 3 burst bolter even with full health other then take the hammer feels too slow not saying it should be fast but it feels more like a pve weapon then for pvp iv just sticked to chainsword for pvp

Nah, the grapple is good as it is. The vanguard is a duelist, if you find yourself alone you're dead and that's ok. If you grapple into a group as a vanguard you're as good as dead.

I've paid for all the content, which includes the PVP, and you're telling me to go play COD? xD. COD has the exact same damn problem: you have to use the weapon that's meta if you want to win, not the one you'd like to play with

vangaurd shouldnt stun you with the click of a button and win 80% of scenarios assault is a prime example you have to directly hit them to stun them and if you miss you get punished and have to charge the ground pound leaving you vunarable mid air also the grapple for vangaurd is a lock on

PvP is a feature. This was never intended as a full fledged PvP game. If you want real PvP go COD or any other game.

the issue i have with melee classes in space marines 2 is that compared to space marines 1 there is no punishement for brainlessly spamming attacks, wish mean they can just spam and the defender cant counter act at all,

in space marines one, the parry would stun a moment the attacker so they could not brainlessly spam left click and had to use the right combos and read the ennemy mind to use the heavy attacks when the other player was about to parry as heavy attacks would go trough the parry and stun the deffender, it was a nice rock paper scisors kind of deal,

now what you can do in SM2 is:

- get rekt
- parry but cant do annything beside waiting for help ( because parrying save you the damage but lock YOU in place and dont stop ennemy combo not giving you time to do anything)
- throw a grenade at your feets if you have time


its kind of a bummer, the fights are way more fast passed that way, but they are hella boring against any melee fighters

In my honest opinion as I've only played as Assault is that melee weapons deal less damage overall, and the TTK is really long, most of the time people have enough time to back step and ADS. There needs to be balance and tweaks, Idk if the dev team are gamers but it very much never feels like any scenario is a 50/50. I would have the jump on someone just to be either grappling hooked, backstepped, or shot before i even get to swinging. even if I land all my hits, their guns usually kill me out right.
So everyones using the same 2 classes. You think people wouldn't be using the same stuff without the class system? Oh dear. Did you not see how 2042 went when they removed the class system. Everyone used the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ and the game was worse because of it. People just love metas these days just how it is despite it making most games worse when everyone seems like they have to use it.
Imagine not being able to count.
tried assault , chainsword useless, bolt postol drops everyhting with few shots .... meanwhile space marine 1 had way more impactful melee and wtf happend , dont feel tough like marines it feels like i may aswell be a guarsman how fast i go down to gunfire ,

You can filter over half of the melee class zombies by just throwing a grenade at the ground before they jump in.

its specially usefull after you unlock the krag grenade it sticks to the enemy you throw at aswell like a sticky bomb it deletes all the armor and %70 of their health in a second all you need to do is just throw 1 or 2 melee strikes or a couple of bullets ever since i started using it the annoying bulwark is not a problem anymoore xD
