They have "close combat weapon". It doesn't have to be a knife. Granted it usually is, but doesn't have to be and that's why they named it "close combat weapon" in the rules. It could be a club, axe, whatever. Just any unpowered close combat weapon is all it represents.
Same thing with power weapons other than power fists and thunder hammers. Now it's just generically "power weapon" so you can model it with whatever type of weapon you desire.
No they don't. Vanguard have "heirloom weapons"
