Extremely low volume
Title. Everything else in my PC has very loud volume, meanwhile, this game, no matter the settings in my PC or in-game has very low volume. Anyone else have this problem?

Lmao if only everything could be fixed by dipping it in rice, I'd drown myself in it.

Can't say I know the answer but a few things to ask that may help others work it out, headset, speakers, stereo, 5.1, 7.1, onboard, dedicated, drivers checked, lastly, whats windows volume mixer state for it when its running under apps in settings/system/sound/volume mixer is it 100% across the board or varied.

Like I mentioned, I've already fiddled with these settings, and unfortunately changing anything does not help. The case is only isolated in this game. Other games volumes are in-line with how loud everything else is (e.g. web media, in-app media [spotify, etc.]).

I remember in some Bethesda games they used to constantly screw up the audio forcing you to restart to get sound back, with those you were limited to 41,000 Hz on the speakers, I'm currently using 24-48,000 on 5.1 and haven't run into the issue but I've only been able to play about 1 hour since release due to time constraints, might be worth seeing what its at and checking it.

I had the same problem, low sound level and nothing was clear. I changed sound output rate to 44100 hz and it sounds now clear and pretty loud. Check your audio device properties if it's 44100 or not

My sound is at 96000mhz right now. I'll try 48000mhz to see if it improves it for me.

This may also be a more subjective thing, with my setup I'm usually quite picky with my volume settings, I usually start at a baseline of in game sliders for all games (when it has proper settings) of something like:

Master - 50%
Music - 30%
Effects - 50%
Voice - 70%

During the limited time I've had in game I felt like I needed to tweak it a bit and it may well be a lower than expected or preferred. I don't usually bother with EQ software but if all else fails or its not addressed by the dev's (as intended or whatever) it might help to just boost the BASS a bit to make bolt fire more punchy.

Should it be necessary? No but unless they state its an issue and they will address it we're kinda stuck with what we can do on our end without offending the easy anti cheat bloatware.

I had 48k at 16 bit tho, in my case switching to 16 bit 44100 Hz worked. But my friend has 16 bit 48k and he doesn't have such problems. So I guess you need to check every option and see what works for you and what's not

Weird thing is, I have a customized EQ that comes with my headphones (Audeze Maxwell), and everything else outside of this game (AND FFXVI) is very loud that I need to dial down my global volume to 70%.

I also push down music volume since this game's (and it seems every other game nowadays) don't know how to mix their sounds properly that music overpowers and doesn't have built-in attenuation of certain sounds to make certain stuff clearer.

This may be something I may look at. It's kind of annoying that I have to do it though since I bought headphones so I can play sounds at 24bit, 96k, so having to push it down just for a game feels awkward.
