unlocked the Multi Melta for Heavy in PvP
grinded my heart out for the Multi Melta because I have a weird love for Multi Meltas and Gravis armor. turns out the gun is absolute garbage.

it does not one shot, at best its a two shot if u literally have the barrel up the other guy's ass. If there is literally any distance at all, im talking actually a pixel or more, the damage that comes out of the MM is less than a quarter of barrel stuffing the guy.

actually so disappointed in it, make the one shot potential be literally next to the enemy and make the 2 shot potential like a couple meters PLEASE

Melta I think worst weapon - I hope melts can broke shield but : 2-3 close shot to try kill people - meh :steambored:

yep melta can't even do its job well in this game it seems wich is one shotting at least the armor

ah yes we should give the heavy a 1 shot when he can deploy a shield infront of him that can block damage for himself and people behind him

do u know what a Melta is? its literally designed to melt through vehicles and you're out here telling me that taking 4+ shots at arm's length to kill a Marine is good?

This is why I stick with the heavy bolter. Multi-melta and plasma are both underpowered for what little ammo you're given for each. Granted, plasma has some hint of AoE when fully charged, but it's barely noticeable.

Im fine with 2 shots on close range. It is a close range weapon, was allways its trade off but IF in range, it was a killing monster. So, the im safe if im one pixel farther away can stay, but 2 shot dead in close range it should be ^^.

do you know what a bolt sniper is right even the sniper class cant one shot it takes 1 headshot and a follow up shot to kill someone nobody likes 1 shots the game is fine how it is the ttk is also actually good

lmao u what? u have safety because of range with the Bolt Sniper, not a lot of other weapons can threaten u at that range so of course it shouldn't one shot. MM requires me to run face first into 9 different bolter variants, shields and 4 different melee weapons. its supposed to be a high risk high reward style but as it stands right now its useless.
One-shotting Melta makes melee charaters obsolete

i mean - if Melta weapon guaranteed to kill players with 2 shots from the middle or with 1 close to the balance, given that there is a long KD between shots, but the main problem of balance is Shields.
Shields generally do not miss any damage from long-range+grenades.
it seems to me that it would be possible to introduce either an endurance strip or the amount of damage that can absorb
But Melta weapon is still the worst choice for pvp - no damage,it no breaks through shields (and according to the logic of the Warhammer universe, Melta melts tanks with a bang!!)
It could be an analog of a shotgun - but as you can see, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I would like to update this post with Melta Rifle on the Tactical is a much more enjoyable experience than the Multi Melta. still cant one shot even with Auspex Scan but its much more consistent on its range/2 shot damage.

it does force a campy-ish playstyle with corner peeking and what not but i've found it to be quite the effective counter to Heavy Iron Halos as well

I mean hes right though. I see a lot of people saying they liked SM1 pvp better, but i honestly believe these people have nostalgia goggles on. SM1 pvp was not very good either lol.
