Wife and I both have issues where randomly you just "stop moving" for a moment until you let off WASD and press it again. We have very different systems and the only similar product are Corsair keyboards (which are different models by a lot)
Cause: Usb device continuously trying to reconnect to my pc. Can be clearly checked through device manager (see if it refreshes) or through a program called EventGhost.
In my case, it was my integrated camera laptop camera. For some other people it might be a Usb port or some device connected to that port that has conflicts.
This issue can be seen not only in space marine. Ive also encountered it in Elden Ring.
I also experience stuttering. after every stutter, my held down input drops.
Solution: In general - disable the Usb device that's causing the trouble.
In case with my camera, its a very difficult answer. Best case is to disable it through bios, but i haven't figured it out with my pc. following every possible solution on the net, nothing helped.
Disabling the camera, changing power options, regedit, cmd, updates, access, nothing.
My workaround: When i access my camera through the windows camera app, in other words while its being used, the issue goes away.
Note! Do Not minimize the camera app, press Win+D, or alt+tab from it, otherwise the app will turn off your camera, unless you're using some other app. Just use your mouse to change your window focus.
Note! Don't turn camera app off too early, otherwise the issue comes back.
I leave it working during my game session, and if i turn it off after a while later the issue goes away all together.
So, yea, not sure why this happens, and why it goes away this way.
We could fix it by disabling USB-Power saving in Windows.
1. Hit the WINDOWS key
2. Type "Power Options"
3. click the "Change plan settings" link for the plan you're currently using. (If you change the settings on the power plan that isn't active, this won't work)
4. click on "Change advanced power settings"
5. scroll down to "USB settings"
6. Expand "USB selective suspend setting"
7. Select "Disabled" from the drop-down menu
8. Click "Apply"
That should resolve the stuttering and input loss.
Let me know if it worked for you :)
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
Ram: 16 gb
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
Monitor: 1440p 60fps (main) and a 1080p 60fps
Are yall noticing this happening every ~4 seconds? There is another post titled "Stuttering is causing input cancels" where they seem to have the same issue. Do you notice a stutter when standing still? This is the 4th post I have seen describing a similar issue with similar troubleshooting advice not fixing the issue.
I am having the exact same thing happen. It happens at 1080p at 1440p at lower resolutions too. This stutter happens when im playing and when im staying still like clockwork. Happens when I set all options to low and happens when i bump up to medium. What gets me is that its every 4ish seconds like clock work. I am not observing any jumps in cpu or gpu temp. I notice a small bump in CPU utilization (from ~30% to 50% when not moving). I do not have a controller plugged in. I am not noticing any other signs of gpu glitching other than this interval of stuttering. Hope this helps the devs and anyone else experiencing this issue.
Hi,
thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately this setting was already set in my setup.

To be more exact: "System.DeviceAttached [u'\\\\?\\HID#{00001812-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_Dev_VID&021edb_PID&da0e_REV&0102_cc86ec436dba#c&377dc292&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}']"
In my case I think is camera related, just like @Boogie because I'm trying a lot of stuff and the problem only seems to come when the camera is on. The problem is... I usually stream and use the cam so...
In my case was the bluetooth dongle without drivers at the end. I already solved it :)
I have those stopping issues too.
The issue with mixed mouse/keyboard and xinput devices (like gamepads or keyboards with analog keys) is not tied to space marine 2 only. Some games have this issue, some don't. Starfield is such a game where you cannot mix input methods as they override each other, unless you use a mod to circumvent this.
I really want mixed mouse/keyboard and gamepad inputs too so i can properly map my alpakka, steam controller, steam deck or other gyro controllers for a better experience.
