Space marines too fragile, game feels lame
The weapons are cool but Marines might as well be guardsmen or at most scions. They are very, very weak defensively compared to how they felt in the first game. So much so that it badly detracts from the game's atmosphere.

Captain Titus was arguably squishier in SM1 tbh. I get that Ork Boyz are stronger than your average human, but are still well below a Space Marine's boxing weight.

In SM1, they can shred through Titus' health pool rather quickly

lower difficulty until you upgrade your weapons and then the game becomes a breeze. but yea they need a games journalist difficulty fosho, normal is basically hard when you're first starting off. Also matchmaking for campaign would be nice, and allowing same classes to group for operations. I think they should allow 4 players for operations tbh if they don't want to readjust all the difficulties

No it's not the difficulty it's just that if you are even slightly unlucky even on normal you get instantly taken from full to zero. Warriors two shot or three shot you from full armor to zero, same with lictors and raveners.

Neurothrope should be removed from the game and reworked not because he is hard, but because he is boring. You have to hide and peek out and shoot a little at a time to avoid instant death from the massive aoe's. Not hard if you have cover, it just takes forever.

With how good the weapons were designed, I am surprised at how poorly the armor/defensive capabilities are handled. There is zero feeling of being in power armor, you have to play very skittish/defensive and constantly roll around like it's dark souls 1 or you get absolutely crushed with damage. Not fun.

yeah they do feel pretty squishy and slow compared to how they are described in the lore but i guess the game would be boring if you were just op
Well, not really, it would still be just as hard if you had more armor and health and there were just more enemies or you encountered "Extremis" threats more often. Lictors, raveners, and of course Carnifexes can still be major threats but getting taken out by common enemies so fast is not lore-accurate.

only thing that sucks about the combat is the health doesnt regen like the first one. armor system is whack

Yeah because your average guardsman can shrug off several Hormagaunts slicing at their limbs whilst 1v1ing a Warrior. They should fr just make you invincible, able to fly, and able to kill things by looking at them. Or just play on an easier difficulty? idk lol.
The guardsmen in game take multiple hits, watch during the campaign.

I do not think you know the lore of the Tyranids. Like they nearly conquered a Ultramarine planet full of Astartes, because of how easily they were able to adapt.

Champaign was all right, been trying to play operations on 3th dif ... ♥♥♥♥ me that ♥♥♥♥ is ridiculous enemy elites are bullet sponges takes 100 heavy weapon bullets to kill and will kill you in 3 hits like wtf is this.

Yeah welcome to the power scaling of Warhammer 40k.

Space Marines were created to obliterate human resistance during the great crusade. They are little more than guardsman cannon fodder at the scale of threats they are sent in to deal with now. Tyrannids and Chaos are two of them.
I wish we had an AR 15 instead of these garbage bolters, or a modern-day plate carrier with type IV ceramic plates instead of power armor. Why can we not ditch our weapons and pick up some of the devastating normal guns and swords that the cultists carry? They are waaaay more effective against Mark X power armor than they should be.

Cuz it's a game. Do people really wanna play a game where they're invincible and there's no risk? You just auto kill everything and can't be in danger?

idk I'm playing on Angel of Death and loving it.
from what I gathered, space marines are awesome killing machines that don't get hit, their armor being borderline useless against modern armor piercing weapons.
In the game we just get surrounded and take 10 hits at the same time by little buggers that can still get through the armor, just a lot less per hit compared to the bigger enemies. for example, if you take a sniperish position and let your AI buddies protect you as you engage the ranged attackers, you'll take as much hits as when doing melee, yet still have a ton of armor left (assuming you're not taking sniper rounds or plasma shots). the melee enemies are not puppies attacking you with cuteness, they are incredibly strong creatures armed with incredibly hard appendages as weapons.

Agreed. Titus goes down insanely quick, and he can even be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stunlocked. Aswell as terrible chip damage done to the player by ranged weapons, whilst your own boltgun might as well be a nerf gun
