will give this a try. thank you!
Currently Dell is #1 and Asus is #2, this matches what Windows display settings shows. I will check if it's swapped in Windows as well next time it happens. If it does then it's an OS thing, but then again, literally no other game does this behaviour of constantly loading on the wrong screen except sometimes the first ever time you play.
If it does swap in Windows, I suspect this game just has a different way of setting which screen to use than every other game, like just sets to "Monitor #1" rather than any kind of hardware ID, so if they swap in Windows, it'll open on the wrong monitor.
I do have DSR enabled on both monitors, my main one still being significantly higher than my secondary. I'm not turning it off for one game, I'll just have to keep swapping in settings when it opens on the wrong monitor.
I'm sure they will fix it eventually by changing it to store a hardware ID instead of a simple monitor number from the OS. Not sure why the monitors swap numbers in Windows though.
So today, opened on the wrong monitor, and now in-game doesn't match OS. Dell shows #2, Asus as #1. So I have no idea what janky coding they put in this game, as it's not taking OS monitor numbering at all, it's just making it up as it goes I think
yeah, this can happen in a lot of games the first time you ever play them, but the annoying part is when it keeps doing it, so you have to go into settings every time you start the game to change it.
No. It is not a "user issue". If I select my monitor, and it runs on my main monitor when i am playing, and then it goes and LAUNCHES on the wrong monitor every single time I open it despite having changed the monitor to be the correct one, in the settings, then it is a GAME issue.
If it happened once, fair enough, but it forgets my selection, quite literally every time i boot the game up
