I know, I turned that on instantly once I saw that it was a option from a yt vid.
It's like Gears of War.
I'm asking purely on the logic of the universe not gameplay, I already know about the option. Its weird to me because its the same thing I feel from Halo but at least there from what I remember the helmet is on practically all the time.
Okay, that's what I wanted to know.
but it could also come down to combat experience since inside the space marine helmets they have basically aim assist servos and cause of that the space marines got so use too it they no longer prefer wearing helmets
More often however, modern artists in the Empire prefer to depict marines without their helmets because it allows an average viewer to better identify with and understand the nature of the glorious acts being portrayed. You can bet that when Marines purge a Necron ship they are all wearing helmets (Necrons have little need for atmosphere in space) but the paintings commemorating their heroism will show them helmetless for effect."
there are also iron halo shields.
Additionally in 40k universe, armor is less important than Emperor's protection.
I chose the option immediately to keep helmets on; I expected that to be the case for cutscenes aswell. Too bad. =\
I think thats one of those things were you are going to have to input the context of them taking the helmet off before the cutscene and then put it back on after...
Like a head cannon moment I guess...
True, I guess thats why the creators of the Halo tv show made John Halo helmet-less the entire time (plus naked as well).
