patch "Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2 - Retail.exe" in steamapps\common\Space Marine 2\client_pc\root\bin\pc

in same folder create "steam_appid.txt" with "2183900" launch using "Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2 - Retail.exe"

Yes, i rethought myself of refunding the game and decided to w8 for 20th +\- of september, its not that far.
Until then i can finish my neverending run of rogue trader =)

Just wait for what? the game has like 12 hours of original content, till then u have seen everything million times and probably wont even play anymore. How can they be so lazy and not have UW support on release, when moders can do it after 1 hour. The fix works btw

The other thread that has another guide for enabling ultrawide and fov changer utilizing a cheat engine table and running the game without EAC seems to have been deleted, not sure if by author or by mods. Disables EAC though so might be the reason.

Doesn't work for me, gives "Launch Error, Unrecognized game client. Cannot continue."
Riddiculous that a game released in 2024 doesn't have Ultra Wide support on launch (when apparently the leaked version has it)...

Just delete it to get rid of it.

It doesn't install anything on your PC, it just patches the exe. It makes a back up of the old exe so just delete and replace with the back up.

And it's not a virus, I'm using it to play fine with ultrawide. However the FoV is messed up so bad that you're not gonna be able to play it anyway. Better wait for the real official patch.
