Amazing how weak Space Marines are.
Even on low difficulty, a couple normal mobs nuke your armor in a couple hits. Yet all even common mobs are bullet sponges.

I often find myself wanting to ditch the armor so I can move faster to kill things. Since one would think being in this armor you'd take a lot of hits to bring down. In fact you're in a wet noodle unable to move to avoid all the attacks needing to hide lol.

Been a decade since I played the first one, But I don't remember being so weak and having to hide from everything. Maybe I did?

Great game, just you look cooler than what you are.

its POWER armor, you'd just move the same speed without it and also be naked.

They for sure tried to ride hard on the "make the game difficult by making the player weak" that Souls popularized.

Count yourself lucky the tyranid warriors come at you one at a time, on the tabletop they would tear you a new one and you wouldnt get past the first level with only 3 marines.

Oh I rem getting clapped pretty quick by ♥♥♥♥ in 1.

Don’t forget too like, 1 genestealer close range can one shot a marine, or even a terminator in games like space hulk(or the table top). They ain’t going up against light weights out there in the void, or imperium would just use guardsmen.

They wanted you to "feel the weight", so they make you slow, sluggish and floaty(which is wrong from all accounts, just look at the ASTARTES animation, or the Pariah Nexus, or anything else that shows space marines moving really friggin fast, you can still feel the weight it just isn't stupidly sluggish!)
Yet they also want you to feel like anything stronger than a stiff breeze is a foe fierce enough to rival Horus himself, so thus you have zero durability.
And despite this they had the gall to use "4 space marines would be way too strong" as the excuse for only 3 players being allowed to have fun at a time. Despite them making you pathetically weak for "balance by making player feel like every fight WILL be their last"

In summary, they want you to feel weak, "feel the weight" and didn't want to give you too many options for class synergy and teamwork so they took away one teammate.
Just balancing around taking options away. Is it as difficult as you say? In all honesty No, but it still FEELS wrong in a few ways and makes it less satisfying than it should be.

Plenty of lore to show Tyranids are capable of ripping through power armour fairly easily as they are a race of bio engineered warriors whose only purpose is to destroy anything that can prevent the Hive from consuming the bio matter of the planet

What the hell are you talking about? I've yet to actually die in this game. Can't be that weak if you have to put the game in hard mode to actually get put down.

You grab tyranids jumping at you by the neck and slam them into the ground so hard they explode into red paste. You're a Space Marine but not all Space Marine are doom guy, clearly

I think I've only actually died once in normal so far, and that was because I wasn't paying attention and kept missing parties and heavy attacks

the operation mode solo can be pretty hard because the ai don't do much. I wish they gave at least extra weapon mastery for kills instead of just a flat amount for completing a mission.

I wouldn't have a problem with how squishy Primaris Marines are if it weren't for how utterly limp almost every weapon is and how the Marines can't seem to hit a barn door while stood next to it.

Seriously, these are supposed to be Primaris Marines with top of the line heretech Mechanicus tech and its like fighting with nerf guns and foam swords.

The only weapons worth using are the Plasma Pistol, the Powersword and then probably the Automatic Bolt Rifle with Frags or Kraks. Everything else is a limp, inaccurate waste of ammo.

Really quite disappointed that they've managed to make everything feel like a Lasgun.

Space Marines are perfectly capable of dying my friend. My Tyranids rip them up regularly on the tabletop, even the small gaunts. Which are basically the size of lions but with even nastier teeth and claws capable of ripping through even the hardest ceramite armour the imperium can equip infantry with. And that's just the small dudes.

But yeah, nevermind the fact that you can be shot repeatedly from acid cannons and survive, regularly get hit from enemies that would cleave a regular man in two. But of course, according to you, you might as well be naked.
