It will reinstall a newer version of EOS.
I thought I could just ignore that error and continue. Doing Steam Integrity check now, thanks !
The only issue is that they didn't tell people it would be installed. Hopefully, they're more transparent going forward.
After doing a Steam Integrity check and restarting game, it reinstalls EOS again. Everything is back to normal now !
I just uninstalled EOS after it auto installed. Game works perfectly fine without EOS, just ignore the message that its missing EOS files. I only see PS and PC players during operations but thats fine, don't need EPIC users to get a full team.
I see some comments that it runs but what is the limitations of that? My epic account is linked to steam but I don't have the client nor do I really care to have it
When you already have an EPIC account, why do you delete the crossplay feature?
Epic isn't forced or requiered, the game just automatic installs EPIC Online Service so that you can cross play with people using EPIC as their distribution platform.
So uninstalling EOS leads to an ingame message on loading that you miss the files and you will have a smaller player base to play with thats all.
