How we feeling about PVE classes so far?
I noticed that so far Tactical and Bulwark seem pretty popular. I had a Sniper in one round who was pretty helpful by taking out warriors and ranged enemies. He would also use his stealth to help revive us.

I've been running Heavy and when I have a good position I can mow them down with short bursts and protect teammates from ranged fire.

Only problem is that warrior packs take me down in seconds and I'm worried that since Heavy needs melee cover from the team it's the class that's going to fall out of meta and get kicked from matches.

heavy definitely needs to be enabled so if your team is bad your carry potential is low

like the opposite of bulwark, who can carry a bad team to good, but cant carry a good team to great

the only thing you can do about warriors as heavy is play the parry game and hope to execute

I suck at parrying so I’ve been using Heavy. He is fun but runs out of ammo somewhat fast. I just roll away like Sonic when a Warrior gets close.

Yeah, I feel like a matador when they gang up on me.

I agree. When I get a pair of good randos it's like that scene in Terminator 3 with the minigun when enemies swarm in but most of the randos want to get into melee so bad that I get isolated quickly and feel like a burden.

I'm fairly decent with the parries but a swarm of melee enemies in general is a bit difficult since they don't give time for armor to regen.

Gonna be honest, PVE classes are all super restrictive, for no reason IMO. We need looser weapon restrictions and more weapons ASAP. Bulwark is my favorite by far just because of the shield and the early talent that distributes damage taken from ranged on the shield to enemies within 10 meters, even if the shield makes parrying a bit awkward since it parries on button release instead of press. Some of the stronger chaos marines with the rapid fire weapons wreck themselves on the shield. Heavy can put in incredible work, but it needs a nearby melee-focused player, ideally an assault with a thunder hammer, to really keep things off of it. The ammo efficiency is kinda rough too. Sniper with that laser gun is nuts, but again, ammo issues abound. Tactical is nice for versatility even though they can't change their melee or pistol, and some of the later upgrades for the scan make it really strong. Vanguard is the only one I'm not very fond of, the grapnel hook is on way too long of a cooldown.

Yeah I found the Bulwark's parry kinda weird and I kept whiffing it. I got so used to Titus' parry.

I'm hoping that Heavy's tree and crowd mangling potential makes them a good viable support in the long run to encourage melee players to keep their Heavy teammates alive.

It's crazy to me that the campaign doesn't have any of this. So many cool setpieces will never be played again by most players in favour of the 6(!) operations.
