EOS "Fix" makes windows defender freak out

is there a fix that doesn't involve multiple redirects and downloadable .exes that make windows defender warn me?

Why did it work fine yesterday, but not today?

Also, where is this on your PC "client_pc\root\bin\pc\EpicOnlineServices".

Hello, could you provide us:

- on which Windows version you are? If you're on W10, on which specific version are you? Windows 10 version must be above 1507
- your KSIVA number. You can get it by doing ↑ ↓ ← → 4 times on arrow keys or D-Pad

tried the "fix" but still having the exact same issues. The post they linked says "If it didnt work the first time itll definitely work the 2nd time"

Had my game working yesterday but with "corrupt eos" and was still able to the play the 2 sessions I had. now it doesn't actually launch but will show running with task manager showing its only using 1.8MB of system memory and nothing ever happens. Tried the main fix with the batch file and nothing happens still. Uninstalled/reinstalled still nothing. Never got the Epic dependencies install and idk what to do now. I dont want to play on my laptop when I have a tower with solid specs.

Same issue here, I could play fine with no hiccups yesterday and put 8hrs in, today I'm stuck at the Easy Anti Cheat loading screen and it just tells me it's not installed. It definitely is tho, and I did try that fix, but it didn't do anything.
