Sniper trials seem alot harder than the others
Anyone else or is it just me?

I wish I could confirm but I can't even load into the operations mode.

managed to beat both 2nd and 3rd gold easily enough. 1st one though is BS because trying to kill 5 melee warriors and 2 ranged ones at opposite sides of the map while also reviving and also dealing with gaunts is so far beyond the difficulty of the others it's not even funny. 2nd one is literally "just click on heads" with a very generous amount of time to do so and 3rd is that plus a tiny bit of kiting and dodging.
Current best time is around 10 seconds off and thats with me using the melta to instantly kill the first wave at the very beginning, but the 2 melee warriors that spawn after I kill the ranged one at the back just blitz right at me without delay and it takes TIME to kill them both. A lot in fact, since the AI stand around doing nothing and I have to keep dodging the sniper at the back and all the termagaunts shots pelting me while hormagaunts swarm my inert allies. Most the time if I dodge the sniper one of the warriors was just WAITING for me to do that so they could instantly slap me right as I exit the roll. They haven't Killed me in that trial, yet, they just delay me so much that getting under the 60 second mark is unreasonably difficult.
And I can't save the melta for the two warriors because they are so aggro that I can't reliably disengage at enough of a distance to detonate it without them running away from it with their ludicrous mobility by the time I am out of the blast zone, which is what happens if I save some stealth juice for just that use and cause them to immediately run off now that they can't lunge endlessly in my direction.

I had the most difficulty with the tactical trial tbh, the rest of them felt pretty simple.

I just got it by stealth reviving both AI, killing the ranged enemy and immediately running to take care of the one who spawns at the other end. Dropped the melta in the center mob on the way through and got lucky. 60 seconds even.

The 2nd and 3rd are way more manageable by bettering your aim imo.

Unfortunately the 1st one is dependent on RNG... I'm not even joking. Aliens don't spawn in the same places (I've started the trial and physics collision pushed the big guys into a corner), just general areas. And target acquisition for them are hit or miss (will they target the AI or you during a trial run).

That said, my general strategy for the 1st was to run a bit (cloak before you get hit) rez the first ally, run toward the sniper near the 2nd ally and try to down it (cloaked melee does more dmg) ASAP before 25 sec (more aliens spawn at this time) and rez him. Then when the next wave spawns try and kite/train the mob from the first and second wave together into a pile and use the Melta bomb. Then, if you have about 15-20 secs try and kill the remaining sniper and small aliens left.

I finally did it, it was easy for me. Maybe cause I'm low skill but the vanguard trials are the toughest for me...

I got them all done. The first one was the hardest and I had to place the Melta bomb in the right place to kill most of the big guys by pure luck. The other one with the "don't kill enemies with no weapons" confused me for a few minutes until I figured out that you can ONLY kill the 3 gun enemies and all the little guys will die after.

Thanks a lot, that helped me to make it in 47s. I didn‘t even get all the big guys with the melta (i placed it way too early).

I always tried to pre-place the melta for the sniper before.

Most classes have one trial that is a real headache,but true at least the one with the revive is really mostly luck for snipers

Either way I did eventually manage to beat it but yeaa... It is very irritating how much of it is reliant on RNG. Can literally replicate my strategy almost step-by-step and the results vary way more than a "Challenge" should allow, in my opinion at least. RNG has it's place, it can be very useful and add value in many cases, a skill-based challenge with extremely tight timing requirements however? Not so much.

Ok so its doable, so run to mid and stealth before the first mobs, revive your first dude then run and revive the 2nd dude even if stealth breaks, then auto gun the first warrior dead and run through the mobs to the other ranged one, after you pass just pass the middle point drop your melta and then detonate as your using your gun to kill the 2nd ranged, then you should mop up whats left and finish around 54 seconds

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that actually worked... i ended up with 55 seconds. Have some points.

I'm trying to do the stealth cloak one, but my primary just doesn't function. Is that intentional?

i did it by running at the first comrade throw the melta bomb revive it without cloak, then cloak and revive the second one. the rest is up to your aim and skill.
49 sec for me.

So....I read all the strats.....what worked for me was, RUN IMMEDIATELY, plant the bomb right as you're like "covid distance" from the heavy types (guys with swords), AND AS SOON AS THE BOMB IS PLANTED CLOAK, revive the guy right at your feet, run to the 'sniper' heavy enemy with a heavy melee, and just spam melee until the enemy responds with a parry, parry that, slash a few more times and use the "counter shot" to end them, (again if needed), revive your guy, RUN BACK THROUGH THE HORDE IN THE MIDDLE, the first melee guys will be following you, the "second wave" sword guys will now spawn and run into the middle, after running past the initial starter two, a few feet before you reach the sniper that spawned in where you started, DETONATE, and focus ENTIRELY on the sniper heavy in front of you, get near to about 75% of your mag dumping into his head, reload, dodge if need be, and then continue to dump round into his head, swap to pistol to finish him (DO NOT EXECUTE EVER IN THIS TRIAL, COSTS TOO MUCH TIME!!!!), the rest is RNG, you have to hope the NPCs clear up the rest, any mistake like mobs holding you back from picking the first guy up, or missing a parry, immediately restart, the timing is INSANELY PRECISE with all this....I got 3 seconds less after like 30-40 tries using the above tactics they all suggested.
