Force restarts my pc {Solved}
Hello, I have a problem with space marines 2 right now. It happened 3 times already and I dont want the game is the reason why my pc is going to die xD.

Pc specs:
ryzen 7 5800x
radeon rx 7800xt
32gb ram

Playing the 1st and 2nd mission was completely fine, on the 3rd mission my pc randomly force restarts itself. I experienced it 3 times already. I dunno what caused it, I also checked drivers are up to date. I also play recent game black myth wukong but I did not experience any crashes same to my other games like ow2, dota2 and valorant.

Is there any fix regarding this one? I want to play the game as well but this keeps happening..

Post fix:
After I checked event viewer to see what could have been happened to my pc, it says kernel power 41. I tried researching and asking some in psu communities as it could be related to your psu. They asked me if I updated all drives, the last thing I did not have updated was my bios. I checked its version, still from 2021. So I updated it and I have been playing the game whole day today and seems like its been fixed and hoping to continue to do so

I hope this thread help sm2 gamers out there and thank you for those who helped as well!

How long is the duration before refunding the game ends? Also waiting for any patches or solutions regarding this one

Check your event viewer to see if there is a kernel power error.

Event viewer is a tool on windows that will show you things that are happening on your pc. Hit the windows key type event viewer, under administrative events scroll till the time stamp of when the restart happened. If you see a kernel power error then your pc is having issues with power delivery and the game only exacerbated the issue but didn't cause it. If you have a different issue look up the event id to see if you can find a solution.

I forgot to mention but you will see a bunch of other errors/warning most of them can be ignored as regular windows behavior.

It means you should probably look into replacing your psu. There are other causes of it but the easiest and cheapest to start with is the psu, then motherboard, then cpu.

It can mean what the other commenter posted but also if you have done any tuning with PBO it can mean you are unstable, this game LOADS your CPU constantly. it will rapidly expose any instability in either your CPU settings or if you have done any RAM settings your fabric/fclk settings.

With Ryzen one of the things full random restarts often signifies is unstable fclk/infinty fabric.

I see, so its more that a hardware problem?

I run everything at default, never overclock or underclocked. But its kinda pain in the a** right now replacing some pc parts for just playing this game.. This is the only game I have that force restarts my pc..

I can tell you from experience, it won't only be this game for long. Soon it will be only if you play for x amount of time or if you don't restart your pc every so often. Eventually it will be every time you turn on the pc it restarts when you hit desktop. Do future you a favor and start saving some money to replace things even if it's just $5 a week.

I am running an MSI MAG A750GL PCIe 5 PSU. If THAT is not enough power, and causing the game to crash, then that's on the game, not me. The PC is less than a year old.

This isn't about the game crashing this is about the pc crashing into a restart. It also isn't about how much power your psu can provide it's about if the psu is failing or not. Could also be a power delivery issue on the motherboard. I also hate to be the one to tell you but most parts fail at the start of their life or the end of it rarely do things fail in the middle.

Yea will keep this in mind, its just frustrating to me if this is really the case. Maybe I'll let my pc builder look into it, my pc is 8months old and all are brand new bought before. Thanks for the advice!
