Event viewer is a tool on windows that will show you things that are happening on your pc. Hit the windows key type event viewer, under administrative events scroll till the time stamp of when the restart happened. If you see a kernel power error then your pc is having issues with power delivery and the game only exacerbated the issue but didn't cause it. If you have a different issue look up the event id to see if you can find a solution.
I forgot to mention but you will see a bunch of other errors/warning most of them can be ignored as regular windows behavior.
Yup! I have kernel power error! What does it mean?
It means you should probably look into replacing your psu. There are other causes of it but the easiest and cheapest to start with is the psu, then motherboard, then cpu.
It can mean what the other commenter posted but also if you have done any tuning with PBO it can mean you are unstable, this game LOADS your CPU constantly. it will rapidly expose any instability in either your CPU settings or if you have done any RAM settings your fabric/fclk settings.
With Ryzen one of the things full random restarts often signifies is unstable fclk/infinty fabric.
I can tell you from experience, it won't only be this game for long. Soon it will be only if you play for x amount of time or if you don't restart your pc every so often. Eventually it will be every time you turn on the pc it restarts when you hit desktop. Do future you a favor and start saving some money to replace things even if it's just $5 a week.
This isn't about the game crashing this is about the pc crashing into a restart. It also isn't about how much power your psu can provide it's about if the psu is failing or not. Could also be a power delivery issue on the motherboard. I also hate to be the one to tell you but most parts fail at the start of their life or the end of it rarely do things fail in the middle.
You're welcome. I hope you get it fixed so you can be stomping nids with the rest of us.
