That’s because it is
Ok and what's your point? Third person action shooter about burly men in big chunky armour feels and looks like another third person action shooter about burly men in big chunky armour. Gears of War is a solid game so why wouldn't they take inspiration from a well made game in the same genre?
GOW, 99% of the time you hide behind cover, the other 1% you sprint to more cover. They couldn't be more different.
This game doesnt even have a cover system.
Man.. I wish mods would finally clean up jester farmers. It gets so tiring.
Use cover or clumsily and slowly flail about with a chainsaw... hmmmm
You know what would make this game better? If it was just Gears of War. lol
To be fair, in my opinion, the shooting and movement does feel quite similiar to Gears and it's not a bad thing. But it does have it's own mechanics that help make this game be it's own thing.
That's really not accurate. The inspiration is very apparent and it's not a slight against SM2 - Gears is a great franchise, so it's not a negative when people say there are similar elements here
Played both games, both games are almost the same.
