Game is pretty mid.
Im enjoying it for what it is, but the overtuned ranged enemies chip damage you on ruthless to death and there is literally nothing you can do.

You have a useless fat roll, Parry is okay. Dodge is random af. I got parry down now its quite good .
The weapons all feel pretty weak. They should all do a lot more damage

THE ♥♥♥♥♥ BOTS : DEAR LORD. THESE ARE NOT VIABLE IN RUTHLESS WHATSOEVER. THE AI IS ATROCIOUS GARBAGE. Why they didnt spend time to get the solo experience up to par i do not know. Its bad.

You are supposed to be a space marine but instead you feel so squishy. You dont feel powerful here. More like a normal soldier.

Lack of weapon variety. I mean some of the staples are there, but so many are missing. why?

Ammo count....obnoxiously low for the amount of damage most weapons do. I get it you want ammo to feel a little scarce. But we got unlucky earlier, and there was no ammo for like 30% of the mission on hard.

Armour needs to be stronger. 1 hit and you lose a bar. You execute and get it back, rinse repeat. Like why even have armor, if there is no functional way to improve it, make it stronger, boost resistance etc (blah blah perks blah blah they are so little ).
Its just a round a bout of lose armor, execute, rinse repeat.
The amount of chip damage you can take in a single fight can wipe both your armors off in a few seconds even if you be dodging and parrying.

Perks seems okay generally speaking, but honestly some of them are just really weak or bad they scared to let you be strong.

I mean one space marine shouldn't be able to fight even 1% of what u fight in this game so you shouldn't feel that weak. But ya i think bolters "bullets" should look more like rockets and have more impact and umph

I didnt say the game is hard anywhere? I said there are some obnoxious mechanics and badly designed systems like the AI.

AI isn't that bad. I'm on veteran and I've had not much issue. Most complaints I see are people just butt hurt they're getting killed. The combat has a flow to it. Got to learn it better dude.

I am doing campaign on ruthless and they are obnoxiously bad, you tell them to engage they just dont do anything. RUn in circles like headless chickens.

Im on second planet.
You dont even own the game....

I'd probably rate it as 'above average', honestly. I've run the first couple missions and poked around on two multiplayer ones and I'm scratching my head as to why every youtuber and strreamer claimed this was 'the Warhammer game we've been waiting for'.

It plays almost identical to the first, which isn't bad, but is shockingly different in pace compared to where the market has currently gone. It's multiplayer stuff is incredibly bland overall, but I could see it becoming something magical given enough time.

And with the $100 price tag, with a six hour campaign and bland multiplayer, it's hard to recommend for me. But hey, given enough time maybe it will become something fun to waste a couple hundred hours on.

I do own the game . On PS5. Yes they dont respond to commands for ♥♥♥♥. However, they are good enough to succeed on missions. They could 100% use some TLC and I'm sure they will get a buff. If they can fix the command tab and dictate the AI what to do it would fix much frustration. Primarily in situations like the core reactor mission.

I'm on Veteran...

And the game is UNFORGIVING. You screw up, it'll hurt for the rest of the mission...

I got stuck on MANY parts, and most of em I'd like to call "Bs" for how absurdly difficult they were... but it's a learning process as it gives you tips, but it doesn't hold your hand.

So many times I had to reset in certain places bc I kept dying, slowly figuring out how to win the engagements.

Ya you're right the space marines are waaaay to squishy and there isn't enough ammo. As soon as you get mobbed by a group of the small enemies you instantly lose all your armor its very weird.

tbf, a different pace to what is out there is precisely why i enjoy it. Twitch shooter games, games that are all reflexes, made me hate shooters and just having the ability to essentially play what is effectively a third person shooter at a slower pace has been great.

Another point is, the "market has gone" to all games being geared towards competitive games with high skill ceilings and not soo much focused on the enjoyment but rather how much you can beat the other person. CoD, Overwatch, and most other games similar have literally been doing the same thing for like, 15 years plus, its only gotten faster.

is it? is it really? 6 hour campaign and a live service...how is that amazing?

Unironically I do agree but in the sense that this game is very similar to dark tide and I love dark tide the problem I’m worried about is the burnout due to the lack of operations and while the pvp is nice I feel like this games good for maybe like 50 hours then you kinda drop it but who knows

You shouldn't be surprised. Like most bigger game devs they set out to make a generic, functional, unremarkable game, and that's exactly what they accomplished.
