Assault Jump Pack
Anyone have issues getting this thing to actually work half the time? Sometimes its perfect. Mostly I have to hold the ability for at least 10 seconds to maybe get a 6 foot leap. Not sure what the deal is. The one in the campaign is so much better than the one in operations. Big sad.

I have the same issue, sometimes he jumps, sometimes he just never, very annoying

And I completely agree, the one in the campaign worked 100% of the time

I noticed this problem when doing the assault pack challenges. Just didn't work when I needed it too meaning I couldn't complete the challenges on time.

Literally doesn't work for me at all on the final group for the 3rd challenge. Says I have 2 charges, but nothing at all happens when I try to use it. Really frustrating.

i have no idea why they made 3 variants of the jump pack "stats" campaign goes highest, then PvP is a good middle ground, operations is an absolute joke where you go forward 18 feet and hover 4 ft off the gorund it completly breaks immersion honestly

I've been playing exclusively the assault class so far since completing the campaign and I've had only a few issues with it (currently lv10 with the class). Mostly when trying too jump from an elevated position to hammer smash sometimes the indicator gets stuck on the ledge I'm by and I get caught up. That's usually about it. I do feel like the button press for it can be too long. be real nice if it felt far more reactive then that so you could use it more dynamically easier.

as too anyone having issues with the challenges for the jump pack I also managed to A all of those, the one with the enemies spawning on the ledge I'm fairly sure you're not meant to jump to them but shoot them. I did that at least and finished with like 30s left on the clock

Do you use k and m or controller? For me using keyboard I find it just sometimes doesn't work. Other times it lifts off only slightly. Sometimes it works as intended. It's very cagey

Wait, is the jump pack in PvP seriously better than in PvE? WHY? I'm not really interested in PvP, but assault marine is my favorite class, and currently, while playing operations, it feels like ♥♥♥♥ to actually use the jump pack

I've noticed that the game refuses to use the jump pack when you're facing a melee attack that you can block. The game then requires you to play the blockable melee attack before you can use the jump pack.

The game is simply designed to constantly interrupt or stop the flow of the players in every possible way.

I had issues mainly because I initially didn't know you have to hold down your Q to leap and stay in the air then you have a split second or two to hit your RMB for Ground Pound skill. The longer you hold RMB, the longer youll hold onto Ground Pound and stay in the air (you won't be in the air forever, just a second or two longer).

The issue I find now that it's pretty clunky when you're mid melee animation. Sometimes you can Block or Dodge while meleeing, sometimes you can't and same goes for Jetpacking. I feel like they need to fix and tweak the Jetpack skill. You would think you would be able to jetpack any time even if you are mid melee animation to dodge.

KB/M and if it doesn't shoot you off very far its possible you aren't looking far enough away. The indicator does have a maximum range it'll boost you to before you have to slam (which also can extend it lol)

In case you haven't figured it out yet (took me several tries to realize) look across the gap fand wait for a yellow circle to appear on the far side and it will chick you across, it functions greatly different from the campaign jump pack (annoyingly)
