im getting 42 fps on a 4070ti super? y cant i change the FPS target?

I have an RTX 3070, and ryzen 5800x, just as they say in the system req, yet no matter what settings i choose, 1440p with dlss on high settings, or 1080 dynamic resolution with low settings, my fps in campaign is not going over 50fps, the only time it changes, when i set it to 4k native, because that it drops to 20, otherwise it just does not run at 60 any time i'm trying.
I tried the pvp mode as well, there i had no fps issues at all.
I refunded the game for now, even tho I was waiting for it for a long time, because that is just not acceptable and it makes the game jarring, when i'm hitting the recommended system reqs.

let me know if u find a fix. im waiting on a refund. ill try PS5

I have 60 lock fps on 4080 Super and 12600KF. 4K DLSS Quality. FPS is not 100% stable. I suppose this game is broken and need top processor.

i was thinking to buy it on Xbox, but I wanted to play it on PC, because its just more future proof if i ever upgrade it in the future. and wanted to play it with kbm.
I will probably buy it a couple months later, when they released a few patches, to see if it runs better. :)

just a note, i'm watching the DF video about space marine 2, and none of the consoles can run it at stable 60fps, not even close, it drops down to 30-40 there as well, so just be aware, that if you decide to play it on ps, it won't have better performance. :)

and I feel like i made the right call to not buy it on Xbox because of my performance issues.
btw, i made some changes to my ram configuration and updated bios, but i will wait at least a couple patches before buying it again.

Based on all the testing I did on my rig, the scaling option seems to have the biggest impact on performance. Also it seems there is a bigger performance boost going from ultra to high settings than there is b/w any of the other settings.

Have tried setting resolution to 720p, 1080p, 1440p. DLSS on quality or ultra performance or even set to native. Settings to high or all to low. Dynamic resolution with an aim of 60fps. Full screen or borderless. Vsync or not. Nothing makes much difference.

Even at 800x600 with everything at low its sitting at 49fps on the battle barge where you spawn in after a mission vs everything at Ultra and 1440p native its sitting at 45fps.

Sure the CPU is bare minimum but its really bizarre as I havent encountered this with any game ever. Even other games with similar CPU requirements.

After watching the digital foundry video I realize just how CPU intensive this game is. There are a ton of tyranids running around all requiring AI and a lot of processing, so you're gonna need a beefy CPU to keep up. There's really no other way around it.

i think in your case it must be the CPU, that seems to be a really old one, compared to the rest of the system. on the DF review they said that the 3600 has similar performance to the PS5 with drops to the 40s.

yeah, thats the sad part, but interestingly, i had the same issue with my 5800x, which should be more than enough for 60fps.
since i tested, i changed some configs regarding my ram, but since i already refunded, i will wait for some extra patch before trying again.

ive got a AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor, along with a 7900 xtx, 32 ram. I can run legit like almost any game. Wukong too, but this game struggles to keep up with 60 :(. Im not refunding it though, its not terrible and i've played bloodborne. but when it drops to like 40 frames im over it sometimes so might just wait until they release a performance patch :p

im above all recommended and was getting similar results. never seen anything like it. i dunno if it because i have a igpu as well as a 4070 ti super but it would not let me change the FPS target and it did say 4070ti super so i dunno. the early access felt like a beta test i had to pay for.
