Bots are absolutely brain dead on the elevator mission

Playing max difficulty because of achievements. No matter how much you ping, these idiots will not help with the gargoyles. And the health decay of the chain is ridiculous. Its like 10% per second.

If you get stunned ONCE, or get tox'd ONCE, you gotta reload. This ♥♥♥♥ is bad.

Yeah. It's tough. You ARE playing on max difficulty though.

Maybe pull it down 2 notches and just have fun? You can always pick up the achievements later. And then you'll have strategies down for these tough areas?

I couldn't pass that area on veteran even! So I pulled it back to normal, still got defeated twice more and then decided to take a little break. Was getting a little steamed! That stuff is tough!

So it feels like you had to "perfect the sequence"

First, grab one of those Auto Bolt Rifles, a Plasma gun, and Kark Grenades.

Head to the first chain set. Fire 2 fully charged Plasma gun charges per chain and finish off with auto.

Then, do a 180 and kill the 3 Lycans with the 2 karks. (Yes, one of them has to hit two.)

Head to second chain. Finish the ammo in your plasma pistol, then finish your Auto Bolt. Chain should be done.

Go pick up another plasma, and another auto bolt. They should be near.

Same strat on 3rd and 4th chain. Ignore the ranged lycans, your Q will make you survive them and you can clean after saving the last chain.

Q grants you infinite health regen for a while so use it on the last chain just to push through the damage you receive.

Don't feel bad, I went and played on Ultra Nightmare for Doom Eternal, just to find out you only get some gold cosmetics, a title and pfp for PVP play, lol.

The next part is even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worse. Having to defend an objective with retarded ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bots that don't kill hordes for ♥♥♥♥ is such abysmal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ design it's insane. You're left being the only one having to protect the point while dozens of range spawn and take free pot shots at you. This ♥♥♥♥ has no matchmaking, how the ♥♥♥♥ are you meant to deal with this with the tragically bad bots?

I ended up having no trouble doing that part, had to restart twice but a there was a double kark available near the first "chute" of tyranids. Each one of those took out one flying buffers and voila (okay i had 6% reactor hp left but you know, I still got it)

I don't think I saw one on the elevator, and I had a sniper with me :') I made do with what I had eventually but that was one looooong 45 minutes im not getting back

Are there any angel of death achievements tho? There are none by the look of it

I'm sorry I wasn't aware this was a mandatory coop game. I'm sure you can show me where it states this though.

No angel of death achievements, not even an in-game reward, can confirm.
The chain event is one of the toughest in the game. The bots are useless, but the gargoyles will swarm the chains in a specific order so made sure I was close to the chain that would be swarmed and mag dumped with the heavy bolt rifle. There isn't really any advice for getting through the game solo on the angel of death difficulty except to get good.
