Target lock "duel" mode camera... is horrible.
Does the camera freak the fk out for anyone else when locking target? For me the camera rapidly spins around the target at an extremely high rate and then goes onto a side view that is just extremely awkward. I don't know if its supposed to do the side on view to be cinematic or what, but I hate it.

Yep, Doesn't spin for me but goes way off to the side, happened twice in the tutorial mission so far. I'm on Ultrawide so not sure if it's a bug related to that not being supported yet. [edit: yeah it's spinning as well now for me]

Yeah, I hope they can fix it to make it less awkward. It needs to either pull back further (and fix those weird bugs too) or (and preferably) act more like target lock in DS or ER.

What his happening with this? I see very little documentation but every single time I lock on my camera is spinning. Borderline unplayable.

Impossible to target enemy correctly, I’m also on ultra wide screen…

Same here, also on ultrawide. Tried different resolutions and borderless, but still a problem. Might try windowed mode to check

Also on ultrawide screen and I don't have the spinning but the locked on target goes off to the left which is super weird. This also happens when I do a heavy attack in to the Gun Kill attack, the Gun target is way off to the left, almost off screen and covered by my character.

Any fix for this ?

No spinning for me, but the camera *does* move around really weird whenever a locked target moves around too much.

I found a fix. Change it to Windowed instead of Borderless. Then use 2560 x 1440p resolution. Unfortunately you'll see your desktop as the window no longer fills the screen but I can confirm that all those weird camera issues go away and the game is quite enjoyable now. The one dumb thing is the Windows Taskbar in Win11, you can't move it to the side to prevent the cursor from hitting the bottom and activating the taskbar, which will bring your desktop to the forefront instead of the game. In Windows 10, you would temporarily move the taskbar to the right or left of the screen, that way there's no chance of the cursor hitting the taskbar at the bottom. I had to do this in Remnant 2 as well as there were similar Ultrawide issues in that game as well.

So now we know that the issue is caused by ultrawide screen. What are we supposed to do next in your opinion ?

Thank you for your feedback and analysis, do you think there is a probability of being patched soon ? What can we do to accelerate the process ? Thank you for your reply

No idea on a patch but at least I can play the game normally now,. It was throwing me off when the targets get going to the very left of the screen when locked on.

yeah this target lock is total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, not only does it not actually keep the camera on the target, but activating it very often just does not work and you're left spamming the r3 button of all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buttons just to get a target and by the time it actually does work you need to press other buttons like dodge or parry. disaster.

Don't think I have used the lock on for the entire campaign.
I can see how it might be needed with a controller so that sucks if it doesn't work.

I played M+KB during the tutorial, and decided to switch to controller because some of the mapping felt off.

I forgot target lock existed as I was cycling through the buttons to learn what everything did, and also never used it during the campaign lol

It could be useful on the Lictor, but I couldn't really see the utility 99% of the time.
