Things is, its not peer to peer, they use servers.
From what I can tell, Space marine is doing the samething.
Ok, thanks for the additional info.
Gonna try next time i boot the game, forgot that overlays mess with the game sometimes
Typical response you see anytime a new game comes out and there are issues;
"Check your settings, there's no way it could be an issue with the game".
I'm not saying that is what you are saying Jacksynn, just that I see this in every game release with issues. God there are several videos that have a 20 point checklist of "do all this ♥♥♥♥ on your computer to MAYBE fix the issue".
Honestly my recommend is trying disabling crossplay, and if that doesn't do it, just wait for them to fix it. Hopefully they get it fixed before the 9th and avoid getting review bombed all to hell.
From what I can see the only thing the server handles is pairing you with the other players. After that all communication for the game functions appear to be sent from player to player with one player acting as host.
I was using the gta online server structure as an example of how this works. They use an authentication and matchmaking server with save file hosting while the entirety of game lobbies are peer to peer connections.
it took me almost 2 hours trying to fix it, it did not work at all. :(
