Colors washed out? Grey like filter over everything?

This recent trend of this weird grey filter over everything needs to stop. Dropping the last menu of the brightness calibration down to 0.6 or 0.5 brings a lot of color back but it's a bit too dark. At default settings everything is so washed out and you can barely see what's going on

UE5 games have had this problem with almost every release so far, black myth wukong included, not sure if this is done with the UE5 engine but they really need to bring in HDR support if they insist on using this so we can get a bit of contrast from the colors or hiring a colorist to grade the game (not sure if that's even a thing) but it's the only complaint I have about the game, everything else is perfect, but man the grey everywhere is really a bummer.

Yes! I agree. I have been searching everywhere for fix as I was thinking that the problem was on my end...

It's almost certainly a creative a choice by the devs. I don't think it has to do with Unreal Engine (look at Fortnite). There are certain areas where you can clearly see the colors shift, like when you go from an inside area to an outside area. The entire color grade changes. I wish they would add the option to disable this because it's my only big complaint so far. The armor barely looks blue in some scenes.
