Do not use steamdeck to play Space Marines 2
I've try to play but the fps, the image quality, everything is wrong, is playable but isn't enjoyable.
I'll wait for the promised steamdeck verification, until that I can't recommend even try to play there.

Steam Deck is great. However expecting to play this game on an APU is delusional.

Your right but they said this:
Will the game be playable on Steam Deck?

➡️We are working on official Steam Deck support, but it's not ready yet. We’re currently targeting the end of the year for full Steam Deck support.

Maybe they will find a way.

Maybe they will. If Cyberpunk can run on it then it's possible.

The fact that's Steam Deck verified feels like a crime, lol. I dunno how they did it. My top of the line system ♥♥♥♥ itself on Cyberpunk when it came out, but now it runs on what's basically a 1660 combined with a CPU, lol.

Yeah, cyberpunk was terrible on launch. People need to stop attributing bad hardware performance to "pretty graphics" instead of bad optimizations. I had a gtx 1080 when it launched and it played pretty bad on it. I had to turn down the resolution down from 1440p to 1080p to achieve 60fps which was nuts for me back then.

BUT the Steam APU may technically be something like a gtx 1660 equivalent but it is even worse than that because it has a 20watt limit. Not just the APU but the whole device is limited to like 20watts. So it's amazing that it can even run the games that it runs as well as it does. It's truly a great device and I own an OG steam deck. Although one advantage is it only needs to run games at 800p. But I still don't understand people who want to play the latest and greatest on it. I mostly use it for indie titles and old games. Fable was a great experience on it for example. 60 fps lock. 2d games are great. Etc. But why always people expecting it to run top tier games that released today?

Just to test, I love the handle systems and if the studio talk about a Steamdeck verification in their latest game that interest me, of course I'll test it, i mean is the steamdeck, how you will do that, I want to to watch that, try the game, wait for the official steamdeck verification and see the improvements if there's some.
I have play 6 hours on steam deck at medium with FSR 2 on Quality i think and the game run perfect.

Might as well buy a console if you're that desperate.

How many fps? Because I tried that configuration and I had just like 10 fps in battle moments. In the tank moment of the campaign, it was difficult to even know what happened.

it will turn your deck into a blow dryer, don't do it.

Sorry but I can't understand your comment :steamsad:, I mean, I have my pc, I'm enjoying the game a lot and I have a Steamdeck too, so I tried to play resting in my bed with that and I noticed that is not a good experience to me.
And is just an advised for those that want to do the same or are thinking about buy the game to play it on steamdeck:steamhappy:.
