Shuddering/Lagging

On the menu my mouse is lagging. Start up a mission and I'm getting shuddering/lag like every half a sec. Can't use my use key. Can't run. The game is unplayable for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SPECS:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core processor
64 GB DDR4 RAM
AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT

Been having the same issue even while running completely offline and trying to play single player. Do you know if its a performance issue or a connection issue? with me i get a little "bad connection" icon in the top right while trying to play solo, even pausing the game at this point shows im running at like 400+ Ping, while my PC has no connection to the internet what so ever.... rubber banding like crazy every 10 seconds or so

so i don't know if its a matter of the server issues being fixed or i've miraculously done something but the connection issue seems to have resolved and its running perfect now!

Again not sure if anything i did actually helped but i disabled all in game overlays, steam, discord, Nvidia and so on.
Switched my game into fullscreen mode (didnt realise i was running borderless)
and went into task manager and closed down the epic services stuff, this didnt seem to effect me in game at all from what i could tell but yeah. did the above and its all silky smooth now.

I'm relieved someone else mentions this because I couldn't see it anywhere, while my PC isn't the greatest, from what I could see the actual animations were technically smooth but I kept getting bad connection on the top right and a lot of lag/rubber banding despite playing the singleplayer.

Really hoping improvements to the server help and I'll try turn off the Steam overlay to see if it helps!

Yeah from what i've seen theres alot more posts around the performance and CPU usage than around these connection issues. Unfortunately it seems whatever i did was either a complete fluke or it was maybe a moment of stability on their servers because the lag came back with a vengeance in the last section of the tutorial mission and then persisted into the following mission. hopefully we'll get a Day 1 patch and some attention to the servers to get this resolved.

i went as far as turning off my router and unplugging it from the mains/cable outlet so i had absolutely no connection in my house what so ever and somehow im apparently still connected to a server in game, clearly some dark magic at work here.

I have logged a ticket through the support portal for the developers to see if it gets picked up, here's hoping!

I've tried everything I've found online. Running the game in dx11, setting graphics preferences to high, changing the compatibility mode, turning off all overlays, running it in full screen, updated all my drivers, reset the computer, and reinstall the game. At this point I haven't anymore ideas as what I could do to fix this. I posted a ticket on sabers main website, so let's hope they reply back with a fix or at least now aware of the issue.

I did notice that if I bring up the steam over lay, where you can brows the web or pull of friends, everything is running smoothly in the background. Cutseens like great everything, but the moment I close it down, back to the shuddering and lag

Woah I just tested this, you've made a hell of a spot with this

I shift-tabbed so it opened the in game tab menu which shows ping and brought up the overlay and I could see I was averaging around 43 ping (lows of 30 and high of 78) the I took down the overlay and kept up the in game tab menu and my ping started accelerating. Then I opened the overlay again and it came right back down again!

I've updated my support ticket with this.

yeah good spot there! it seems to just improve in general once you tab out, i opened up task manager to have a look at usages and so on and for the first sort of 20-30 seconds after tabbing back into the game it runs absolutely fine, my ping drops to a steady 20 and everything loads and renders instantly and the choppy audio stops but ultimately it just returns.

Trying to get on to upvote but their website seems to absolute hate me, cannot interact with anything other than the tabs at the top of the page
