Connection to Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2 services was lost - main menu error
Game works in offline-mode only. Can't go into online. Constant error since the downloading of the game 4 hours ago:
Connection lost | Connection to Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 services was lost

- restarting the game didn't help
- Verifying the installation of game files didn't help
- linked EGS account + registered the game into PROS account: didn't help

Any suggestion what do I have to with this? Except for refund. By the way game works fine in offline mode (I have finished prologue).

You, me and a ton of other people. There are no fixes anywhere. Ive checked. Our only hope is waiting for a patch. My other buddy has no issue online. Sorry dude looks like we are the lucky few losers

I solved this problem by reinstalling Windows.

Just installed fresh and clean Windows 11 23H2, checked Space Marine 2 and it was finally OK: game got connected to the online. I played a couple of operations.

Note: my problem WAS NOT "ERROR CODE: 14" (etc). I didn't have numeric error codes at all.
Error message was: "Connection lost - Connection to Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 services was lost".

However I configured automatic setting of time zone in accordance with this fix

(to avoid potential ERROR CODE: 14)

Решил проблему переустановкой Windows/

Установил чистую и свежую Windows 11 23H2, проверил Space Marine 2 и он наконец-то "заработал" штатно: игра смогла законнектиться в онлайн и я сыграл пару операций.

Примечание: моя проблема была НЕ про ошибку "Error code: 14" (и похожее). У меня вообще не было численнывх кодов ошибок. Ошибка была такая:
"Соединение потеряно - Соединение с сервисами Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 потеряно"

Однако я настроил автоматическую установку часового пояса в соответствии с этим фиксом:

(чтобы избежать потенциальную ошибку Error code: 14

This. Having the same issues and unable to connect. Sometimes I'll get lucky and manage 20 mins or so, but more often than not I'll get disconnected almost immediately. I have tried every fix I can find online and there is very little.

I'm both worried and frustrated by the fact that a lot of people aren't having this problem at all.

In the meantime, light the sacred incense and recite the blessed canticle of stable connection. May the tech-priests deliver our salvation and release a holy patch. Praise the Omnissiah.

It depends on how you look at it. Another point of view: the game is very capricious and picky. I was using the previous operating system for more than two and a half years (Win 11 21H2 -> 22H2 -> 23H2) and everything was fine and other network games worked.

Who would have thought that to fix another network error ("code 14") you need to enable automatic time zone detection?

Who would have thought that the game is not friendly with overlay software (this leads to crashes)?

My guess: the game did not like the presence of virtual network adapters (for a virtual machine) and / or the game did not like the Winsock LSP configuration (which can be affected/somehow corrupted by third-party software).

I solved my problem for myself. Well, and shared with others.

P.S. I checked the ports were open then on September 5, as well as checked with the firewall disabled, it did not help. The problem is software, related to the operating system, but very sophisticated.

Uh.... I tried to reconnect a few times and it literally tells yall servers go down for maintenance.... yall really uninstalling windows and all lmao

Try this:
1) Control panel > Clock and Region > Change Time Zone > Change Time Zone
- Make sure you have the correct time zone on.
2) Settings > Time & Language > Date and time
- Make sure to set the time zone automatically, and set the time automatically are both on.

I remember that in September 2024 this helped in the overwhelming majority of cases of similar problems.
