Low GPU Usage
I'm playing at 4K with a 4080S and i7-14700k, maxed out graphics settings.

I'm getting about 55-60PS but heavy combat can dip into the 40s.

I barely get any difference in frames whether I'm playing native res or with DLSS Q/B/P.

MSI afterburner shows GPU usage of between 50-70% whilst in game?!!

I also get no difference in FPS if I turn all the graphics down. Is something bottlenecked or is the game just badly optimised?

If changing settings doesn't do anything you're looking at a CPU bottleneck. Which is unlikely with that processor unless it has already taken irreparable damage from the known intel issues that show under heavy load.

Hmm I have very slightly undervolted the CPU due to temp issues but I haven't been bottlenecked in any other game so far.

same, but i have 3080, i7 11700f, 32gb and 1080p resolution

Same with a i7 14700k and 4080. GPU is at less than 40% used and CPU less than 50%. There is something wrong with that game, even if I look at the ground in the space station with no enemy popping and nothing crazy, the game barely hits 90 fps.

I reversed the undervolt I did to my CPU and did the intel microcode and updated BIOS. I now get 90-100FPS with full GPU utilisation!

Only issue now is CPU temps are through the roof. 90-100 degrees Celsius!!!!

Congrats on the fix!

I highly recommend swapping out that CPU ASAP though, there is likely actual, physical damage on the chip itself which will only cause it to degrade at an accelerated rate over time. In addition, while Intel claims that these measures they have taken such as the micro-code update fix the issues, it is quite likely that they do not completely fix them, and only delay the inevitable for most.

I wish you the best of luck, hope this helps you and others!

A LOT of players are having CPU high temps on that game and that game only.

Yeah these are scary temps...

It only seems to be for SM2 though as I've tested a number of other games which run cool. I've just bought a 360mm AIO which should hopefully do the trick.

I am running an AMD 5800x3D and an RTX 3080FE and I seem to be having untilisation problems as well.

CPU Temp: ~65 degrees (this temp is about average for me regardless of game)
CPU Load: ~45%
GPU Temp: 80 degrees (this temp is about average for me regardless of game)
GPU Load: ~70%

On medium graphics, DLSS Balanced, 1440p I am lucky to maintain a solid 80 FPS. It feels off to me. It feels like the game is just not trying to use everything my computer can offer it.

Even for me
I have 7600x and a 4070ti
GPU uses 42%,40%
CPU 60% to 75%
I've already given up on playing this game

Badly optimised. Many patches are still needed.
greenlighta Sep 11, 2024 @ 11:49pm
i9 13k
4080
32gigs ram
getting around 100 fps
max settings 4k
cpu usage 60

SAME. 13900k/4090 and it just will not go over 120fps. No caps, no vsync. Around 60% gpu and maybe 40 for the CPU too. Weird. I turned dlss on just to see and actually lost frames

There is definitely a bug or an optimisation issue where the game is refusing to use all available resources the rig can provide. DLSS and graphics settings seem to barely if at all affect the performance of the game, and I never go over ~70% GPU usage. CPU will fluctuate between 45 and 60%, and everyone on this thread and others, as well as on reddit seem to be complaining about it as well.

I have a 4070 ti super 16 gb of vram i7-1200k 48gb of ram it on an ssd all of my core temps are in the 40s c it just seems the game can’t properly use resources and my flu utilization is 68% and cpu 38%
