Save game missing?

when I started it it only gives me new-game. My old save game is just gone?

If the windows is blocking Steam rights to write data into your C disk? Is it on PC or console? If its on PC you should try running Steam as administrator

The best solution is to keep the game running and to download a backup from Steam Cloud before the cloud saves get overwritten.

this has alos happened to me i only have an option for new game 67 hours in game to lose it all

necroing this, my save file is gone, whenever i start the game. It just gives me the option to start a new game...
