Game looks great, but combat is a mess.
I have failed this over 10 times, getting so close only for it to throw 2 of the Psyker-Type enemies at me and literally smite me. I think I've come to realize what the core of the issue is though compared to the first game.
Executions (at least on Angel of Death) Do. Not. Heal. You get ONE shield token back which is immediately taken away by basic enemies, leaving you entirely exposed in melee to dying. Fury also does not passively heal you like in SM1 adding to the punishment of entering melee while being shot.
It likely is a fine experience in co-op but as a singleplayer experience it is woefully unfair to a bit of a near-extreme. When every mission has you die at minimum, once just to be able to progress because you lost that free revive token - It needs a second look.
(Edit - It seems executions only heal up to the white bar, which drains rapidly. So yeah executions are basically freakin' useless it seems)
Agreed, healing on execution feels like the missing piece.
This is the mission that brought me to a screaming halt. Couldn't do it on veteran, but I did get good enough to be able to survive, but there's just too many enemies between me and the antennae's. Once the flying psychic things appear, it's over. I don't have the firepower to take them down quickly enough.
So I pulled it back to normal and still got defeated twice! I decided to take a break at that point. Feels to me like this mission wasn't playtested that much before. Hopefully a side effect of playing at early access and they'll reduce the difficulty here with a patch down the track, cos it is damn tough!
