No, America is a collection of two continents, North and South America.
America includes, Mexico/ Brazil/ USA/ Canada.
The USA is a collection of whats kind of like "countries" in europe that became "states" in a single country which is the USA.
California is pretty big (bigger than england), and has the majority of the tech and entertainment industry.
There are many states in the USA that are just completely and entirely different from them.
