the game still froze a little during the cutscene but I left it and the game eventually caught up, ran smooth as butter afterwards
Developers, patches are welcome.
I tried this and unfortunately it didnt work. thankyou for some advice though :)
nah, it doesn't skip at all. You can't skip.
To give a bit more background, I had done the NVIDIA optimization mentioned above and was able to get the cutscene all the way to the end, at least the audio portion, the screen was still frozen and it wouldn't load. I reloaded game and hit "Continue" paused the game by hitting start on my controller, but then held enter down on my keyboard, and that skipped the cutscene.
Maybe something in there allowed me to skip, but skipping it was the only way i really made it through.
