as for the ranged guys...yea they just need a bit of a damage nerf, even the ranged warriors. or just have the ranged warriors switch to melee when you get close to them.
Those are your key to life. There is one to create a stomp. When done right, creates a wave around you pushing the mob away a tad. Also noticed that when you parry, that happens too, giving you a little breathing room.
This is a game where you cannot hang back. You gotta be in the thick of it.
Also pay attention to the audio ques. They are very helpful. There is a telegraphed sound when there is a parryable/ blockable attack inbound.
Be aggresive, learn to parry without the prompt, use perfect dodge and all the heavy attack ends of combos (good for different situations) as well as "direct shot" thing (red crosshair mark - its important to use that mechanic).
You are meant to die quickly - those are swarms of claws and teeth we are talking about. ;)
Stay safe brother!
Tbh the more posts like op's I read, the more I suspect people have no idea that the melee combos even exist, even though the tutorials show some to your face.
Im not talking dodge or parry.
"Use cover where you must, but always advance. Our armor is strong, but our will is stronger. The Emperor's enemies may hide, but we shall hunt them in every shadow." - Captain Cato Sicarius of the Ultramarines
"Fight from the shadows, strike unseen, and fade away before the enemy can retaliate." - Kayvaan Shrike, the Chapter Master of the Raven Guard
Sorry had to do it Space Marine lore is pretty vast. When you have enemies that can shoot straight through Space Marine armor....cover and retreat become a thing.
