Congrats?
Is that the same as live?
The leaked build is like a year old.
As I and others have said, it's not so much about skill as the bots messing up, as doesn't really matter how good you are, if you have 20 termigaunts on you while being shot by 3 warriors with no support, you are likely going down.
When the bots work it's fine.
The sequence just doesn't feel good solo, leaving you dependent on AI squadmates when actual Xeno threats are spawning in, and you've got your hands tied flamethrowing Rippers. Took me probably a dozen tries to power through and it wasn't exactly fun.
It definitely seems like having Player squadmates is a big advantage, particularly because when solo most of the enemies will aimbot straight for you and largely ignore the AI.
Grenade launcher attachment. Fire 3 grenades, re-load ammo and never fire at it manually
Besides - teammates were attacking enemies on antennas just fine.
Missions like that need to not exist anymore. It reminded me of escort missions with AI logic being their downfall...
Yeah it's intense, specially me not having played SM1, I too decided to go Veteran due to it was suppose to be played on that. I agree the antenna part is hard, especially going in blind, however after a few tries it becomes a little easier - knowing which weapons are availible and where the meds and ammo refill takes some pressure off and as others have stated in the thread - Grenade launcher rifle = 1 antenna cleared / ammo refill, and yes AI is bad on everything except being a meat-shield and res-stations. Zoenthropes are the BANE of my playthrough, I'd take a Carnifex any day of the week now.
Good luck and don't be disheartened - The Emperor protects!
Terminators missile barrages are just annoying and ranged attacks on some enemies are a bit too high damage/ leads to literal stunlock on some bosses. Zoanthropes have too much hp and cc attacks and way too much of chaos fights come down to spamming dodge or hiding behind a rock.
Honestly just removing the ability to get stun-locked on players would quite nice lol but idk if they'll do all that
SM 1 prepared me, but fr dealing with some of these ranged units when you have a standard bolter or anything besides stalker/sniper is just not a good time right now lol.
Garbage like the Ripper mission isn't hard, it's just infuriating because you need to do everything - use the Pyre, do the objectives, and kill the Warriors and Zoethropes etc. It's very obvious that the level were designed for 3 people with functioning brains, not 1 player and 2 bots that are only good for revives. So, yeah, for solo play the campaign is very much ass.
