Basically it feels like you are in a Terminator armour without being in Terminator armour.
Fair enough.
I too think, that healable health goes away too quickly.
It isn't explained anywhere either, without observation ppl. naturally come to the conclusion that executes don't heal at all.
It makes wading in hordes harder, and emphasizes so much more of roles in combat and removing primary targets fast (especially with 'nids).
I think the game generally is balanced around co-oping even the campaign.
Except Primaris are faster in lore, the game even says so in the cutscene you cross the Rubicon in.
There are guardsmen later on in the story you run a little faster than them.
For supersoldiers who are supposed to move faster than the eye can detect they move like they are in treacle. If you have it fire up SM1 and feel how fast/unstoppable sprinting makes you feel then compare it to this.
Controller works best for this one. Aiming is almost immaterial. The Tyranids and even the Chaos Marines are so numerous and bulky, they're impossible to miss.
Which would be fine, if the melee wasn't slow AF. It looks clunky and awful.
Coming from Vermintide 2 I don't see the appeal. Like it's a better game that you can still play, and many already own.
I guess this game is just for the few hundred interested in it's PvP that were fans of the last game.
I also dislike the rather weak ranged weapons we have by default and our paper armor. Non of it makes me feel like an unstoppable space marine the struggled to balance. I just feel like wet paper to the weakest enemy type.
It took me a little bit to get used to it, but you HAVE to use the melee combos too. [/quote]

This is funny, cause i have 1500 hours in V2, and 2000+ hours in Darktide.
SM2 combat is fun, it's just more like a puzzle on harder difficulties, unironicaly get gut.
>literaly need to utilize all mechanics - dodge, gunstrike, parry, stun combo
>calling it lazy
>asking for power fantasy with mindless button mashing instead
Damn
Except its a space marine not a ninja... Like Arhat said above, Terminator armour without being in Terminator armour..
Yea sorry but .. no.. not lazy.
A lot of us just don't like how weapons feel.
If i am magdumping a single warrior with a bolt rifle and it's still standing in the lowest difficulty.. just doesn't feel good.
I hope that with upgrades things will get better.. and then look at it this way, i'll be forced to play easy diff just to have weps feel powerful.
Executions gives 1 armor, gunstriking lesser enemis gives 1 armor. Melee after getting hit refill white hp.
