Switching from keyboard to controller helped me.
This is warhammer. Astartes are faster than normal humans
Lol, what? "A lot of combos to learn." You're not playing street fighter.
Hold attack
Attack, hold attack.
Attack, attack, hold attack
Attack, attack, attack, hold attack.
Run attack.
Much combo, much wow.
Game rewards for stopping fighting and exploring, breaking tiny crates with inquisitorial I for heals. Guns hidden out of the way round the back of levels.
The combat wants you to move forwards but the game systems want you to stop and look around.
Sure the combat isn't great and the marines feel slower than in the first game (looking at you "sprinting" Titus) but the way the system mesh together is terrible.
SM1 nailed the driving you onwards, the only things hidden were collectables. This game the first melta rifle you encounter is tucked out of the way behind a lift.....what space marine hides weapons behind a lift for hi mates,....
In the tutorial level it was similar to the first game where I could replenish depleted health with executions provided my armour was maxed out, and no before anyone asks, there was no white bar it was refilling, this was health that was completely gone. After the tutorial level this no longer happens which frankly makes melee combat suicidal also makes me think that Primaris Marines are a complete downgrade Playing on Veteran for those wondering.
People will gaslight themselves otherwise though WH stans are insufferable.
Oh for sure. The ranged weapons are an absolute joke.
What do you mean "it's a block"? My issue is yea it's obvious to Parry when you see flashing blue ♥♥♥♥ ... But what does LB do when someone attacks and they aren't flashing blue? It's unclear if you can even block other attacks? Can I get perfect parries on NON flashing attacks? If not, that's bad design. Let me parry everything!
