Cpu temps are are out of control.

13900k paired with a 4090. Temps are hitting 80 at title screen. I thought it was shaders but i was wrong. FIRST MISSION RUNS AROUND 80 TO 85. I tried vsnc and capping frames but still very hot. This is my only game in my library that RUNS THIS HOT. Please patch this, this is unacceptable for this price. thanks for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ day. ....So i did further testing. Lowering my cores on my cpu helped but still unacceptable. Edit...... So after last patch they have addressed the cpu high temps for intel high end cpus. temps are a lot better ranging from in game. ( 60 to 69 ) during game play. thank you for the patch. iT WAS MUCH NEEDED .

Problem is with Intel (I7/I9) Unreal 5 game is a good display to show if your CPU is working abnormally or not.
termo throttle means (in general) too high voltage.
People have to update last micro BIO update to reduce the insane VOLT from before and undervolt.
If problem still persist and you thermo throttle, it means the chip is damaged.
They are all damaged kind of, now it is just a clock until when CPU will fail.

I'm not having the same issue but my cooler is putting in overtime trying to cool that thing down, so damn loud. Got up to near 80 at some points which for me with other games which isn't usual. Hope a patch releases day one cause this is gonna be a problem if not

Well, you took the CPU with huge consumption and temp issue.
i got no issue with my X3D. not going above 60C and i'm not even watercooling it, it's with fan. And i got a 7950 X3D and i dont live in a cold country either.

yeah seeing this i am atleast understanding that its not my cooling that is the issue.
Running i9-13900k and a 4090, the load wich the CPU is under should not cause it to hit 80-85C temps.

And it does not seem to matter if i set everything to LOW or Ultra, same temps no matter what.

Atm on DLSS Balanced, Ultra and Fullscreen - no Vsync.
1440p| 98-120 fps capped at 120. And my CPU is maybe maxing load at 40-50% Normaly stays at 40% under most gameplay but temps run as high as 80-85C. So there has to something wrong here. Also running liquid cooling, x3 big fans on a large Radiator.

Wish i could offload some traffic to the GPU as it sits at 30% load and cool 45-50C

Please learn how software works. Cooling your CPU is user's responsibility, not game's.
And 80 - 85 is not that high for a 13900k anyway.

I have a Ryzen 7 5800X it only goes to 70 degrees.
But my friends with the newer AM5 overheat after a hour or so.
Since the CPU shuts down at 95 degrees for safety.
There CPU is on 90 degrees just in the main hub.
Definitly a game issue, but im sure they will fix it soon since its a huge problem.

And for the goof ball that thinks it´s user error.
One has a aircooled pc fully optimized!
And the other has a watercooler like me plus good airflow in a big tower.
My airflow is bad compared to his and he overheats, definitly a issue with the game.

It must be doing a pre shader compile in the menu. I seen some videos on youtube, game as a whole looks like a cpu heavy game.

People shouldn't be complaining about cpu temps, get a better cooler.

I wish we had some communication from the devs, I'll even take it if they say it's the user problem. For now refunded untill some more info.

I have the same problem and its only this one game, I can run maxed Total War Warhammer 3 which is CPU intensive at max settings 144 fps and no issues whatsoever.

I am using 13900KF and had a similar problem. This game in particular seems to be overclocking and pulling too many resources even on the menu screen. I recommend you use the method described here in the meantime until performance patches come out

You could also manually adjust voltages and min/max frequencies as that seems to be working for others, but requires a lot more knowledge
