1.Go to your router's default gateway. You can find this by opening a command prompt in windows and typing "ipconfig" without the quotes.
2.Take note of your IPV4 IP and your default gateway. Type the default gateway IP into a web browser. If chrome doesn't work try firefox or edge.
3.You will have to know your user name and password to access your router. If you don't know it you can search for your routers default login credentials on google. It should work if you or someone else has never changed the defaults. You can also look up your routers name and model along with "port forwarding" in google. This will usually lead you to an official page or document from the manufacturers website.
4.Majority of the time, these next settings are in the Advanced tab. What you're going to need to look for is Port Forwarding first.
5. Create a new service, port, whatever your router says and enter the following.
-Service Name: (Whatever you want)
-Protocol: TCP/UDP
-External Port Range:27015,27031-27036(this port range is for Steam, look at the end of this guide for PS5 and Xbox Series X range)
-Internal IP Address:(Your IPV4 address you made note of back in step 2)
6.Apply, Save, or Add, whatever your router has to finish. You should see it in the list of your forwarded ports now.
7.This next option you may also have to look around for. For me it's in the advanced tab under setup. You're looking for your "WAN Setup" or you may have something like "NAT Setup" or just "Nat."
8.Once you find the option, you should see "NAT Filtering." Make sure "Disable SIP ALG" is not checked or on, and make sure the NAT Filtering is Open.
9.Apply the settings and walk your friend(s) through it as well. You'll have to have these router rules setup on both sides. This is required for Steam and Console players. here are the other setups for part 5 for Playstation and Xbox.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II - Playstation 5
TCP/UDP: 3074, 3478-3480
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II - Xbox Series X
TCP/UDP: 88, 500, 3074, 3544, 4500
