The Bots suck, they absolutely suck.
some levels are way to difficult on veteran

They were alright until I got to the antenna part, they are absolutely useless there

Destroying the gun is hard with all the Orks and little cover. Bot can't do much for you there.

Exactly, same with bosses, they don't attack and they barely do anything.

Imagine complaing bots suck while playing on Veteran difficult. name me 1 other game where the AI bots were insanely good on Veteran or higher.

bots are never meant to play on higher difficilties. thats when real players come into play. the bots sucking on higher difficulties is intentional.

plenty of other games that have bots also make them suck on higher diffs

I feel like the mission with the lictor and the rippers after had me cursing the AI a bit.

Against the Lictor, let's just stand here and shoot bolter doing little damage, and completely forget that we have melee attacks, which up to that point we used so much that we developed a habit of chasing enemies.

Later against the rippers, let's ignore the larger enemies that are going after the player holding flamer and randomly shoot at the rippers that he would keep at bay if we only did our job.

Then there were a few other spots where they were simply over aggressive. Chasing enemies down hallways in melee, before the player even enters said hallway, or chasing the smaller enemies in melee when there are larger things taking out guards.

Don't get me wrong, that aggressiveness works on the jetpack part of the mission, but I feel like their aggressiveness needs to be dialed back about 15% for the rest of map, except the lictor part where it needs to be cranked up a bunch.

Reminds me of Aliens Fireteam Elite - where Bots also were completely useless. But the mod community fixed it...

I just finished the antenna part .. grenade launcher ftw.

Yeah, grenades save the day on that mission :P, bots just stand there as if having a stroke lol

LOL trick to this was... always use the flame cannon and remember, you can go all the way around the spire.

I did this on veteran too and all the bots are good for is an occasional rez haha

I would say that during boss fights they need to be way more aggressive and then during normal play, they should be less aggressive AND they need to stick closer to the player and not rush off as often as they do. Unless they got the jump packs.

payday 2. while useless for most stuff they could at least kill enemies on any difficulty.
vermintide 2, again not helpful with objectives but they at least attacked and killed enemies.
the bots in space marine 2 do not even kill enemies on easy.

you wanna hear a real funny? the sniper bot in operation uses his sniper for a total of 2 shots, until he swaps to pistol+ melee and never looks back, still attempting to snipe

True story. Running through the campaign solo with bot team mates on higher difficulties is indeed very frustrating.

Veteran is literally the intended game difficulty, for a bot to be incapable of aid the player at the intended level of difficulty then there is a problem with them, most obviosuly target prioritization, ESPECIALLY on the antenna part

So I'm playing on normal and I'm finding the Bot team mates absolutely horrible. They don't shoot the flying enemies that buff the other enemies at all. So you have to do it all yourself and while you're trying to do that you have 10 guys shooting at you 40 feet away.... and they only target you not the AI. all while having enemies chase you down melee attacking you also while you're trying to dodge the flying enemies attacks. the part where you have to clear the way with the flame thrower then press the button... they don't even defend you while your pressing the buttons. Say it's made for Co-op all you want but the bot team Ai is poorly coded. why should I have to have friends buy the game and come with me through the campaign to beat it on any harder difficulty? bs
