Cant get past first cut-scene

Once I click continue on the main screen, my game gets really laggy and choppy, the first cutscene barely loads and ends up freezing, only to then crash, I've update my drivers, verified game files, switch graphic settings to ultra performance, and nothing is working

Feel lucky that you can even have chance to get the first cutscene , many still can't pass the intro scene lol !

Try verifying the integrity of the games files. It's in the bottom of the installed files of the games properties, on the homepage of steam.

If you have an anti-virus: add the folder of Space Marines 2 to your exceptions. If it's installed on an external SSD try to install it to your main SSD. You can move it without needing to re-install everything via steam.
