From the moment of launch and up to now, the game refuses to connect to the online. In offline mode, the game works, everything is fine. But when the game is trying to connect to the online from the main menu (the very beginning), an error constantly occurs after long aquila icon loading: Connection lost - Connection to Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 services was lost. And the game remains in offline mode.
Measures taken and their results:
1) reconnect button in main menu doesn't help obviously
2) cross-platform play on / off doesn't help
3) restarting the game doesn't help
4) disabling steam overlay + disabling cloud saves doesn't help (in addition: I think this is not relevant and is only suitable for problems of a different nature and only for Linux systems)
5) "How to fix EOS Issue" pinned thread didn't help
6) Verifying the installation of game files doesn't help
7) Linked EGS account + registered the game into PROS account but it didn't help (in addition:: error was present without linked accounts)
8) turning off Windows Firewall doesn't help
9) Turned off my router (ethernet connection) and connected my PC via Wi-Fi from smartphone with shared mobile Internet: still no success, "connection lost" error remains in main menu.
Next steps (I am here):
- re-install Windows - I think I will try both fresh OS win 10 and win 11
I've run out of ideas on what else to do. I have even checked Space Marine 2 streams where I had seen example of correct work: press enter -> very fast aquila icon loading -> then just nothing and main menu. The only thing left is a refund.
How do you even access the "client_pc\root\bin\pc\EpicOnlineServices"?
Where X is the disk / folder for your Steam Library.
For example it can be: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Space Marine 2
or
D:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Space Marine 2
