Yup, something is fundamentally wrong here as the temps are high even in menus without really doing anything, I attributed it to some kind of shader compilation at first, but it didn't go away after more than 20 mins. Changing every setting, enabling DLSS, setting fps to 30, nothing helped in regards to temps.

your cpu is so high wtf, check what is eating up your resources man. this game does run pretty hot but my 13900k usuage is only like 35-40%. shouldn't be getting 70% cpu usuage in a game

Mine is exactly the same with yours. 13900k, 40%usage with 99 degrees

No, its hardware problem, if your cooling can't handle your cpu being at 100% load you need to resolve that yourself. I doubt this game uses 100% of a good cpu anyway.

Have played every new release under the sun and never go over 75C except during shader compilations. This is literally the only game in my library reaching these temps.

Whilst I agree with what you are saying about the CPU temperatures, I hope you are running on intel spec settings for your own sake.

I made your mistake with my original 13900KF running on ASUS default settings and it fried the CPU to the point where it would crash in almost all games.

ryzen5 5600x here game running at 70c on medium settings native but it can spike to 80. brings a new new meaning to brother get the flamer THE HEAVY FLAMER

Same thing here with a 14700kf that normally doesn't even reach 70 degrees in games, in this one it's hitting 85 degrees with 50% use

I'm not sure if they will but I hope they will because I'm not playing it if they don't.

Dead Space Remake developers never fixed the CPU temps in that game as far as I am aware and it was a very common thing there too.
