Lore conform sniper

Hi folks,
I am just getting into the Warhammer Universe with this game and I decided to create a sniper.
Now I would like to know from you lore master, which house does have snipers in their ranks?

The Ravenguard are known for Geruilla tactics sniping and unconventional space marine warfare such as stealth and assassination

Iron Hounds is my current choice of sniper. Most chapters have them, but others have them to greater effects.

I Second the Ravenguard. They are known for stealth tactics. Some of their members (but not many) can also canonically Wraithwalk, a trait inherited from their Primarch Corvus Corax, which is basically invisibility.

Technically almost every chapter will have Scouts (sniper/Vanguard) in their companies.

Brazen Consuls are known to be excellent Marksman and swordsman so my sniper bounces between them and the Blood Ravens. The BR are a bit of a meme in the community because in the lore they've "acquired" a lot of artefacts like weapons & armour from other space marine chapters, so using the camo cloak to go in and knick your stuff is a funny joke inside my head.

Mantis Warriors also use fast attack and gorilla tactics as well, raid and fade, right?

Blood Ravens, they had a sniper voiced by Steve Blum.

Have you read the lore on the Iron Hounds? pretty cool, snipers are a good fit for them.

I just got it on sale for a great price. it and the first game, and from what i read, the third game never existed.

Other than black templars i believe all of those in the game utilise snipers in 10th company.

If you want to be lore accurate you should also check the markings, space wolves for example have light blue shoulders for their scouts and dont play salamander sniper cause no way to hide lack of coal burned skin.

1 and 2 were my FIRST jaunts into warhammer years ago. Loved them, wanted more but diddn't know where to go, then watched lore video's on youtube a few years ago about each hive tyrant and the battles that happened, was hooked after that, on book 35 of 62? of the Horus Heresy now. Soooo good once you get past the fluff they kinda put in after the first few books. You probably got Dawn of War 1's expansions as well. My favourite was Dark Crusade, you can play as any faction and each win gets you items for you main hero guy, give it a shot, like the good old days of starcraft. Dawn of War 2 is a totally different beast, like diablo but your controlling multiple guys, its weird but really fun after a while. Dawn of War 2 Retribution has a horde mode that is REALLY cool, you only control your one guy, you and like 3 others fight up to 20 waves, level up, get new gear. Almost talked myself into replaying it just now but im loving space marine 2 way to much. Except all the halfass searching for players thing.
