We getting Chaplains?
As the title says, have the devs revealed or teased if we getting Chaplains?

Also lore question, can Chaplains serve as an officer? I mean we got Lieutenants and Captains as officers so a chaplain is kinda... 🤷‍♂️ I don't have the money and patience to play table top tho (all dem munneh getting sunk on JoyToy LMAO) so I dunno how Chaplains work in lore.

we do not know if we are getting more classes after release. chaplains are officers by default, a captains and lieutenants are ranks and are also officers by virtue of their title.

I mean I hope we do god wearing the whole chaplain drip while smothering filthy xenos in the name of the emperor 😩

yea for now, the class choices are unit types in tabletop, not officers, wish we do get chaplains tho
so far we have interecessors, jump intercessors, reiver/incursor, blade guard veteran, eliminator and... hellblaster/eradicator i guess, eradicator is closer cuz hellblasters arent gravis marines

wish we can get terminators or aggressors but those prob are too op,
inceptors (jump jet with dual heavypistol or dual plasma pistol) should be fine tho

Well they added apothecaries to the list so no, it's not going to be just limited to troop choices.

ooh nice, then hope we get chaplain and librarians, tho i still want my inceptors lol
Mad Max 6 set. 2024 às 17:25
Apothecaries are already confirmed to be the first new class.

I can def see Librarians and Chaplains being added.

Brother, fetch the flamer. The heavy flamer.

Jokes aside no doubt it'll be one of the weapons they add.

A Chaplain would be an officer and still hold a rank just like the military they have the rank of Captain.

That's not how it works in 40k. Chaplains sort-of operate outside the chapter's chain of command and serve as advisors and spiritual leaders. Each company usually has one chaplain attached to it, so they're kinda like support staff, the same way that tech-marines, librarians, and apothecaries are.
Chaplains and librarians are considered HQ units in the game, so they can lead a strike force. In older editions the lowest rank that was considered a HQ unit was a lieutenant, so chaplains and librarians are somewhere on that level, but they have their own internal hierarchies and ranks tied to their roles.

The Chaplain should have gotten the Bulwark's ability to regen armor in an aura, except it should be around the Chaplain, instead of a banner.
The Bulwark's ability makes very little sense lore-wise, since the design is obviously a bladeguard veteran, and not a banner bearer. It could have been temporarily invulnerability, or something like Titus' ability in the campaign.

I can totally see the Apothecary doing something like giving a full heal to another space marine, or picking up a downed player with full health or removing a mortal wound.

The Tech-marine is tricky. Giving it the auspex would have made total sense, but they already gave that to the Tactical.

The Librarian could do absolutely anything with space magic.

I kinda wish they launched with more classes and gave us tactical sub-objectives that would require a certain class to complete, or being done by a certain class would make it easier/quicker.
For example, having a Tech-marine on the team would allow alertnate paths to be opened, like jammed bulkhead hatches.
Or you could have a multi-story tall stack of data-tower that houses storage drives. If you didn't have a Tech-marine on the team, you would have to manually put access-bridges in the right position and climb the thing while fighting back waves of enemies, while a Tech-marine could hack a terminal and have a servitor retrieve it, making it somewhat easier, but requiring the team to defend the Tech-marine while it works.
Also could have locked containers in the map with ammo caches or med-packs in them, but would require a Tech-marine to open them.

With the Apothecary, you could harvest the progenoid glands of dead space marines scattered around the map.
