now i want to google a video comparing starfield loading screens on hdd and ssd.
but honestly, what's the price difference between a 1-2TB SSD and HDD these days? is there even one anymore?
so what happens if the game loads stuff slower than your character moves?
right.. upgrade every part of your pc except one. there aren't even pre-sata connectors for 90s HDDs on motherboards anymore.
You can make the case that the effects are exaggerated but it's still a massive improvement in most cases so picking up a new SSD for about the same price as a HDD is an easy choice.
A good 2TB NVMe M.2 is also ~150€/$ which is dirt cheap considering that it's going to fit a decent amount of games and last ~5 years for most people.
Does this massive difference in load times look like a gimmick to you?

i don't know about you, but long load times break my immersion pretty hard.
why subject yourself to that when the solution isn't expensive?
