Leandros was right in what he did.
The Codex Astartes clearly dictated that.

HE WAS RIGHT. THE TRUE SPACE MARINES FOLLOW THE CHAPTER RULE WORD BY WORD!
TITUS IS ALMOST A HERETIC!
SOME OTHER CHAPTER WOULD BE EXECUTED HIM ON THE SPOT!

There was a scene where he (as Chaplain) told Titus to wrap himself in Codex pages to shield himself from heresy.

I'm like wtf, the Codex Astartes doesn't even concern with muh Chaos, it's an organisation & tactics book.

This Leandros dude worships the friggin' thing.

The Codex Astartes dictates that any suspicions are to be reported to the Chaplain and investigated internally. Leandros violated the Codex by calling the Inquisition.
Was meaning to post that.

It's ironic because he broke the Codex Astartes.
Gonna be a real awkward conversation on Calgar's Thunderhawk one of these days.

No worry, now Titus victim-blames himself because he thinks he keeps too much to himself LOL.

The codex states that he must be brought before a librarian or chaplain not the effing Inquisition

All space marines are Primaris Ultramarines.

Guilliman runs the Ultra-Imperium.

AI is sanctioned under Guilliman.

Female Custodes are canon.

Imperium-Eldar alliance.

Space marines welcomed and embraced their extinction and replacement across the board with 0 cases of successful rejection.

handheld automatic RPGs need longer barrels because sizequeen-gaming.

Standard configurations of MK10 power armour are more durable than Terminator armour.

Desolation squads exist.

Given how much he worships the Codex, he must be in constant disbelief given that both 2nd and 4th Captain Cato Sicarius and Uriel Ventris using the Codex like Titus did.

And regarding Uriel Ventris. Not even 4th Company Chaplain Clausel was that hostile or paranoid after Uriel returned from his suicide mission out of the Eye.

He only stated once before they left to Pavonis, that he will judge him during this mission if he truly learnt his lesson. And during the rest of the mission he stood 100% behind Ventris without questions or any hostilty towards him.

The fact that this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ get promoted chaplain undermine ALL Calgar's speech about "i enraged that i couldn't make you come back earlier." He flippin PROMOTED an inquisition lapdog instead of have him outright blackshielded...

Actually no he wasn't. Accusations of heresy and corruption in astartes chapters are brought before the Chaplain first ***specifically to avoid involving the inquisition***

Leandros circumventing the Chaplain and going straight to an inquisitor is by all intents and purposes...a ♥♥♥♥ move

Protocol was not followed by Leandros. He actually should have been punished for what he did. That was not his place to supersede his chain of command to get the Inquisition on his own.

What if the Chaplain was dead or something?
I can't recall the details of the happenstance in Space Marine 1.

This is, quite frankly, cap.

I heard thata chaplain removing his helm outside of chaplain quartersis also a no-no right?

Could it be SM1 people who wrote story just fcuk up? Or it would been to time consuming making Leanrdos > chaplain > … > inquisition ?
